Thank you for thinking of me. Unfortunately it was just more bad news. What we hoped to see was an empty sac in my uterus that my body would just naturally pass but instead we saw nothing in my uterus and nothing in my tubes, but the doctor still believes it is ectopic and is just too small to see.
My betas came back at 519 today, up from 278 on Friday, which is also what they didn't want to see happen.
I go back in on Tuesday morning for another ultrasound and bloodwork just to be 100% sure that nothing is growing in my uterus. I would have been 5 weeks 3 days pregnant today and the doctor said if it was a healthy pregnancy in there we should have been able to see it but wants to be certain before taking other actions.
If on Tuesday the ultrasound shows nothing in my uterus then there is a shot they can give me which will dissolve the pregnancy in my tube. The doctor said in all of the years he has been doing this he has only had to do 3 emergency surgeries for tubal ruptures so he is confident that the shot process works. After the shot we'll have to wait a couple of months before we can try again to make sure the medication is completely out of my system because there are risks of birth defects if you get pregnant too soon after the shot.
I'm trying to see the silver lining. At least we know that I responded to follistim and at least we know that IUI did work for getting us pregnant and at least we have IF insurance coverage to help give us the opportunity to try to have a baby... so at least that's something to remain hopeful about.
As for now, I'm just drained and so ready to move on.

My older brother knows what is going on and today he booked/paid for a round trip ticket for me to go visit him in Los Angeles, CA in October. He said I need a break away from life and he wanted to give me something that I could look forward to. I'm so excited! I've never been to the west coast before.

I'm so sorry that things are still in limbo. Your brother is awesome for giving you a break from it all. Sending lots of hugs for healing and strength to get to the end of this cycle and on to the next.

Ugh, Xan, this sucks. I'm sorry you're still playing the waiting game. I hope things are resolved soon and that you have a wonderful time with your brother.
I hate that you're still in limbo. Waiting for answers at a time like this so hard!
Can anyone tell me if this could still be a viable pregnancy at all? I have no idea what my betas were for my first pregnancy resulting in a loss; I only have the second ones to go off, but I know other ladies have had lower betas to start with. I understand the major dip in last week's levels before shooting back up doesn't look good, I just can't help but wonder...
I'm sorry if it's taboo to be asking.
PS: You have an amazing brother to do that for you! I hope you have a wonderful trip!

@luckyangel07, the RE said if it were a viable pregnancy he should have been able to see it yesterday via the ultrasound but wants to do another ultrasound tomorrow just to be 100% sure.
I don't think I'll be able to wait until tomorrow though because as of late last night I've been having really sharp pains in my stomach along with bleeding. I have a call into my nurse to see if I should go to the ER.
