Re: Happy Friday! What are you reading?

  • This week I finished Order of the Phoenix and started Half Blood Prince. I'm also reading Cinder by Marissa Meyer, and I like it so far.

  • I just finished Isla (ATHEA). It was pretty good.

Reading a random few management books (for fun) for work. I'll let you know if anything is any good.

I MUST get done with the Goldfinch. I like it but it is just sooooo dense and long. It doesn't help that I'm mostly listening. It's almost as long as IT. It's long. I'm ready to move on.

I broke 50 books for the year I think? If not, I'm close.

  • Still working on Into the Still Blue.  I'm not loving this series as much as I wish I did.  I just finished Be With Me by Jennifer Armentrout, which was deal of the day from Book Bub.  I can't remember if it was free or 0.99.  I'm giving it 3.5 stars, it's a good romance.

  • I've mostly been reading or re-reading textbooks over the past week to prep for the first week of school next week.

I'm almost done with 11/22/63 though. I don't want it to end and I can't imagine how it will all wrap up.

I just started a new audiobook: WARP: The Reluctant Assassin by Eoin Colfer. It wasn't really on my radar, but it was one of the free audiobooks that Sync put out this summer so I'm giving it a try. I'm not very far in, but so far, so good. I loved the writing in the first chapter.

  • I'm a little over halfway through One Lavender Ribbon by Heather Burch. I think it was a Kindle First book. It started out really good, very Sarah Jio, but now it's fading fast. It'll be #30 for the year.

  • I am reading "Red Rising".  The premise seemed really good but I can't get into it.  I keep pushing through for the SuBC but it makes me not want to read or I read two pages before I fall asleep.

  • I just picked up Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover.  It will be 27 for the year.  I'm only a few pages in so no comment yet.
    Books Read in 2016: 4/50

  • I am reading The Winter Rose by Jennifer Donnelly. So far, it is pretty good. It is #32 for the year. I start a new job on Monday (going from adjunct to full-time college English prof.), so I am hoping to get a lot of it read this weekend.

  • About halfway through Attachments. Enjoying it, but I keep putting it down for some reason.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.
