Good adoption vibes for my friend?

It's a day of good news around here! Congrats again, Aimothy! I am hoping this is your (deserved) happy ending.

My friend just texted me that she and her husband were picked by a birth mom! EEEEEEEK! The baby is due at the end of the year!

My friend came back into my life during our loss and has been a source of strength and hope for me. She and her husband have been on the IF roller coaster for 3 years. They have experienced loss and heartache and so deserve a happy ending. Please send good vibes out into the universe that this is it!

Yay for your friend and lots of luck that everything goes perfect for them. BTW, @poppies717‌, what's your latest update? Last I heard you were still waiting on fingerprints/background check?

Yeah, we're still waiting. Ugh. I just emailed our SW. This news has given me the ooomph I needed to email her (my therapist told me to email her this week, and I've been dragging my feet because I don't want to be annoying).

I'm hoping to hear back from her early next week. DH's check was completed in early August, and our friend resent her letter, so I think we should be all set. I know the HS was going to be written up in early August with blanks left for those two pieces. All she needs to do is "fill in the holes," according to our SW. We'll see. Thanks for asking/remembering!
