@brij2006--You have to the Bix!! it is the best race we have IMO! Brady Street isnt the scary part your right, it is all of the other small inclines throughout & it is always so hot. But I do love to see all the elite runners!

Last year I did the marathon relay there and loved it. So this year I did the half marathon, but it was my 2nd one of 2014. My time was really bad, but I'm almost 20 weeks pregnant. So training was definitely rough. I did it in 3:14, but my normal time is around 2:30.

How did you do?

Congrats on your races, @brij2006 and @bnunn03! I'm definitely impressed. About to head out for my 12 mile long run (the longest in my training cycle) as we speak...

@xstatic3333 - When is your half? Mine is Oct 11, so I just did my first and only pre-race 12 miler over the weekend. It wasn't as tough as I thought it would be. Best of luck to you!

Since H passed the bar, I can finally set a firm budget for October since we know he's not losing his job in the next couple of weeks... that's a relief!

Probably a vacation to recover from the last two months we've had. We are discussing trips for 2015, and nothing is set in stone... but it looks like we'll probably be heading overseas again (while we still can). That's super exciting, but it makes me tired to think about it right now because the last two months have been amazing but pretty stressful. All I want right now is a beach and/or cruise ship at the moment! Specifically, I've been eyeing this particular cruise on vacationstogo that leaves from San Juan, PR and travels over Thanksgiving.... must stay strong.

YAY NUTCRACKER (admitted bunhead here) Love Moscow Ballet!

They come to my town pretty regularly for the Nutcracker. I've never gone but always want to. Pretty sure this is my year!

We are weekend buddies, mine is 10/12. It's my first one as well! I completed the 12 but it was a little tough due to some extenuating circumstances, but my earlier 11 went great so I'm feeling good about the race. Overall I think I'll be running at a snail's pace but should have fun and finish strong. Good luck with yours, and you too @Gdaisy09‌ ! I'm enjoying it and definitely plan to do another in the spring.

1. How MM was your weekend? Not too great, over spent on groceries and got gas for the week which was $50 over budget. MW's car is in for repairs, she had it towed today. They are also finally redoing our street so we will get a bill once they are done and have 30 days to pay. The estimate was in the $400 range.

2. Any progress towards your goals? Need to call my insurance broker since they will give me 300k in term life for around $65 a month. The next closest quote to this I got was over for over $100.

3. What splurge are you most craving right now (financial or not) If I had the money, it would be a new car for my wife.

Sat: Got gas for work monday (44.71) and groceries (68.93); Sun: Did Dunkin Donuts for breakfast (5.96) and Sheetz for dinner (16.58)
2. Any progress towards your goals?
My husband met with the bank on Mon to see about getting a rehab loan for the house (yay?)
3. What splurge are you most craving right now (financial or not) An end to our outstanding debt.

Thanks! Lots of luck to you girls too! this is my second half (and second time doing this particular half) last year my goal was to finish...this year I'm hoping to be under 2 hours. unfortunately I did my 12 on sunday and my foot has been sore since...I'm a little worried, trying to decide how long I let it go to see if it starts feeling better before I try to get in to see a doctor.

1. How MM was your weekend? Not too bad! Friday we went to a soccer game (season tickets that come out of H's mad money), and spent about $30 on beer and food, Saturday I did a charity walk with friends ($50 came out of August budget), and then went to another friend's birthday party that night (her H hosted at a bar and provided food, I bought 2 glasses of wine totaling $12 including tip - cheap! I'm going to have to start going back to that place!), and Sunday, H and I went to brunch for about $25 (we had a $10 coupon). Oh, plus a trip to Target, at about $80 from the food/toiletries budget.

2. Any progress towards your goals? Yes! We paid off the last of our HVAC bill from May, which totaled right at $8,000... just in time for the two weeks in Kansas where we won't have to use either the AC or the furnace. HA! We also received notice of a very generous bonus from H's employer, which will go to my student loan knocking it down to four digits! I'm super excited. This will hopefully mean we'll have it paid off by March.

3. What splurge are you most craving right now (financial or not). Mostly lots of little things. I'd like a Fitbit, and a Clarisonic brush, and a cute pair of brown woven pumps from Cole Haan that I've been eyeing.

And echoing everyone else... congrats on the beautiful babies!!

Could have gone better. I stayed within our budget, but used some of the excess grocery cash for fun money.

2. Any progress towards your goals?
Made a small payment just to complete the budget for September of $36 to our credit card.

3. What splurge are you most craving right now (financial or not)
We're driving up one weekend in October to go to a pumpkin patch. I've never been, so I'm super excited!!
