@DanaOcNy‌ - have you heard of leap weeks? My bmb was talking about them. 12 weeks is one and it can cause some regression in sleep and baby to be clingy and needy.

Or the three month growth spurt - that one was a biggie for us!

So, 12 weeks is the worse time for me to go back to work?

Well...if you wait, you risk having to deal with the 4 month sleep regression instead right when you go back like I did. Our 4 month sleep regression started around 14 weeks and seems to just be ending now.

There really isn't a good time to go back. I think at least we hit the 3 month growth spurt a little early  :-/

  • To all the new mommas out there, sleep regression never goes away, as soon as you get over the 3 month, the 4 month shows up and so on and so on. Hang in there, they eventually figure it out!!! fingers crossed

  • I obviously don't know what you guys are talking about specifically as a non-momma, but I do have a good friend with a 6 month old who suggests and swears by the book The Wonder Weeks. She just told me about it last week and it talks about baby's brain development and when their "fussy" periods land and what developmentally is causing it. She said it has been spot on with her son. It doesn't help them not be fussy, but it can help you understand!

Yup! That's the leap weeks I'm taking about! I have the app and might get the book.

@goatlady12 - you look amazing! it's crazy how your body will keep expanding. Every week I was like no way I'll get bigger... Oh look! I'm bigger lol. I'm only 5' and E was average size, 7#7oz 19.5 inches.

I've only been doing monthly photos.  Each photo I think I look huge, then the next month comes and I think I look small in the previous picture.  lol!
  • Just downloaded the wonder weeks app !! Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I'm guessing last weeks sleep issues was him going through a leap period. This weeks sleeplessness and crab-I-liciousness was brought to us by prednisone. Didn't take it yesterday and he was fine! Luckily no more crazy rash since Monday!
