  • I just hear a rumor that a local restaurant is closing and a chain is coming in.  Normally this would sadden me, but this restaurant was so bad that I'm eager for a chain.  I live in small town so this is BIG NEWS.

I'll think good thoughts for your pup. I don't deal well when my dog is sick, so I feel your pain on this one. I'm really hoping it turns out to be something super simple.

  • One of my students just asked me if she could read PUSH GIRL for silent reading. I pulled a copy I had in my purse (I need to mail it for a contest, I don't just carry it with me everywhere) and gave it to her. She started reading it and then after 5 min asked me if she could get her other book from her locker. LOLOLOLOL

Well she will certainly be in my prayers. Is she pooping? I just had Scout to the vet last night for an exam and x-rays. He has been throwing up after every meal. His stomach was pretty much empty but she said that he has a ton of poop. She gave him some Metoclopramide to help with the nausea, but threw up again last night.

My son, who is 3, wants to be Travis Barker when he grows up. This started when he asked me the names of people who are drummers. I could only come up with Dave Grohl, Lars Ulrich, Tommy Lee, and Travis Barker. For some reason, he latched on to Travis Barker. Now we have to watch videos of him on YouTube, while DS emulates him.

I'm not sure how I feel about this just yet. lol

I think she is. The problem is that we have 2 dogs and so unless I'm outside with them when they go out (which is rare since we have a fully fenced yard), I don't necessarily know who's doing what out there. I'm going to need to start going out with them.

If she has a partial bowel obstruction, you may see just some diarrhea. Obviously, if it is a complete obstruction, she will likely not be pooping. Of course, it could just be something completely different. I should say that I am not a vet, but have just had dogs who think they are vacuums. ;)

Eeek.  10 years ago my answer would have been different from now.  At least he's 3 and he'll probably move onto something else soon, right?

  • My RE appointment sucked yesterday.  Sure the doctor was (mostly) helpful and we came up with a plan.  And then we met with the financial counselor and found out that insurance didn't cover anything, not even the testing.

A lot of times they can code things a certain way where it won't be under IF treatmenst/testing but basic diagnostic testing. I would ask to speak with someone else just in case, because there is a huge difference in cost between the two. GL!

ETA: Also, there may be contracted rates for certain tests/procedures that will cut down on what you end up paying also.

And I've actually been wondering about Lepto. She hasn't had that vaccine in years, so it's totally possible.

Probably. Last week alone, he told me on separate occasions that he wants to be a puppy, Iron Man, an owl, and Luke Bryan.

We talked about coding, they told me to find another Dr for that since this office deals with infertility, I guess they can't get around it?  So I'm looking into that for at least the more basic tests.  We are also looking into secondary insurance.
    Thanks!  I'm just frustrated.

I have a coworker that's been reading the Divergent series.  I'm so tempted to recommend these to her since I think they are SO MUCH BETTER. But what if she doesn't like them? I can't handle that.  Also, I don't think my relationship with her can withstand the amount of fangirling I want to do if she were to read them.
