J and I are very frosty this morning. We had a disagreement last night that had us go to bed without talking. It's better this morning, but still pretty icy. My problem is that I can't tell if how much of my emotional state is coming from the disagreement or from the 200 pages I read of I'll Give you the Sun. This book is making me feel SO MANY FEELS.
I'm not super worried about J. I think we'll both have relaxed by the end of the day. We're the type to let things stew and then this happens. It's part of our cycle, but it's getting in the way of reading my book and I'm not pleased about it!
True story: Matthew Mayfield asked us our names and I said, "I'm Jen and this is my friend....errrr....um...."
Could not for the life of me remember Booney's real name. She's just Booney. He must have thought I was the worst friend in the world for not remembering my own friend's name.

And I just sat there not remembering my own name and blubbering like an idiot.

At least you guys finally got the cojones to talk to him!
Today is my coworker's surprise retirement party (party is a surprise; retirement is not). She's my Jewish mother (her term) and I know there will be tears on both sides. I don't want her to go!!!!
I'm really surprised that mh has thrown out as much crap as he has this month. He's a pack rat and doesn't like to let much go. T - 9 days and counting.

I just got my flu shot at work and totally grabbed a sucker on my way out.

We're wrapping up the final poject for my MIS class and I cannot believe how atrocious the writing is from two of our team members. We're a little under the length requirements, but instead of working on content, I keep having to edit other people's work. And I know that I am by far not the best with grammar or writing. I was planning on working on it during my lunch break, but I'm just so sick of editing that I can't even look at it right now.
It's not really a confession, but more of an apology... I haven't been around much on here. I hardly have any time to get on. I do however love seeing all of you on Facebook and Instagram. If I could just avoid work for a few hours I would go read all of your book recommendations, etc.
It seems like it has been so quiet here lately! Sad.
Oh so I have a gross random, so skip if gross bothers you..
One of my cats has been very sick. Her colon is dilated and she can't poop easily. It's been going on for a few months now. She's been on prescription food and medicine, but we had been waiting for the more powerful medicine to show up and it finally came two days ago. Yesterday when we were about to feed her we were shocked by this massive pile of crap on the floor. Seriously, that could have been human poop. It was practically the size of her! But man, thank goodness for that medicine working!

I had never watched Buffy until 2 weeks ago when I noticed it was on one of our random channels. So I have the dvr set to record it and I've been binge watching it. The special effects are so cheesy and yet I can't stop!

My "Holiday Season" always has to start early. I am detailing all my holiday parties for next month. So to TRY to get in a festive mood- I have Christmas music on today.
My coworkers made me shut my door.
Womp, womp
So now I am singing loudly while typing so they can still hear me

It's not my fav either.... but if I want to be festive and get into my Holiday Party mood- it helps.
@myJunegirls I completely understand that. I do a lot of crafty gifts for the holidays, so I usually start in September. If it's before December, I have to listen to holiday music or watch cheesy christmas movies to get in the mood to work on it. Otherwise I'll procrastinate.

I have the world's biggest headache today. I'm home now but I have school/house work I need to do but I just want to sleep until tomorrow morning.
I'm so worried about what I made on my Accounting test last night. I haven't done great on the other tests and I'm worried I'm going to flunk the class.
Luke stayed home sick from work today. When I left the house for work, temps were in the high 60's, the sun was shining, and he was laying on my porch swing with a book. I'm so jealous I can barely stand it.

The cheese is one of the best things about Buffy!
I have Season 1 on DVD but I haven't watched it yet. I picked it up at the Friends of the Library sale. I should get around to it...sometime...
