I obviously have one... on Tuesday DH gets a text from one of his friends in Johnstown. He said that "he just found out that they're moving on Saturday", and asked DH if he could come and help him move. Who finds out with like 3 days notice that they're moving? I'm irritated because we had plans to get our tree and put it up. AND this friend (the whole group, actually) would not alter their plans or go out of their way for us. If we asked them 2 weeks before Christmas to help us move, I guarantee that none of them would show. They'd do their tree like planned. But, DH feels disconnected living so far away and this was his core group of friends before he moved here. So he said that he'd help. But I'm irritated, and I don't want to make him feel bad so I haven't said anything to him.
Everything. Pregnancy hormones have taken over my body. I am irritated with the UPS man who must smoke like a chimney all day long because my packages reek of cigarette smoke. I hate even bringing them into the house.
I am also irritated with my 5 year old's constant whining. I have no tolerance for it. At all.
It's no surprise that mine are IL related. I am irritated the my MIL bought each of the boys their own drum sets, even after both of us told her not to. Not really sure where I'm going to put TWO freaking drum sets.
I am also irritated at how completely helpless they are and how dependent they are on DH all of the time. For Thanksgiving, they came to my parents...they looked up directions online (the fact that they figured out how to turn their computer on, is an amazing feat), then called DH in a panic because they couldn't figure out how to print them out. DH was like, well why don't you just write them down? They couldn't, and asked if we would wait for them to get to our house to follow us. We were on our way out the door, so DH said no, and ended up reading them the directions over the phone. Then they called us in another panic because they were on 279 and couldn't figure out how to get to 79. Um, 279 goes TO 79!!!!!!
Once, they drove from their house (South Park) to our house (North Hills), so that they could follow us to Ligonier. How they make it out of their house each day, is beyond me.
I've been doing a good job of letting go of my irritation with them, but we have so much going on right now, that I just don't have the time or patience to constantly coddle and appease them!

This all sounds like a nightmare to me. But, the drum sets would send me over the edge!
Amber-Nathan does shit like that all the time. So irritating and I usually say nothing. I know he is trying to be nice but I just feel people take advantage of that sometimes. Like by showing up at our house when their cars need fixed.
Our mailman at work sucks it. Our regular mailman is out on leave and we have a rotation of temps. Which is usually fine but the main one we get while pleasant gets here three hours later than the regular one which screws up my lunch and my whole routine.
Gap's shipping is annoying me. They make labels then, nothing. I actually paid for shipping because I wanted things before 10-12 with free shipping. Their solution? We will refund your shipping if you don't get it by Friday, just call on Saturday. Yeah, me and everyone else!
My in-laws are impossible to shop for. Seriously, they are the last people I have to do and I have no friggin' clue and my husband is useless in the help dept.
Nathan sent me pictures of a decorated bus yesterday and I replied ask the driver if they want to come to our house and decorate. I was only half kidding.

My poor sick child. Completely debilitated by her low grade fever, snot, cough, and sore throat. That paired with my giant belly and all that comes with it - lets just say it has been the longest morning ever. Kev is trying to be helpful, but he has work to do and I am trying to avoid bothering him. But we are basically just a mess. hahaha
Oh and I agree with Amanda, we hired movers. Granted they are Nathan's buddies but we paid them.

I feel like crud today, but not enough to stop me from doing anything. Just enough to make everything miserable. Yay.
My kiddo, I love her to death, but she was.on.my.last.nerve this morning. She's started this thing where she says she doesn't want to go to daycare. Okay, I hear you, but we're going. So today she stands in the doorway and just flat out says 'I'm not going, I'm staying home alone today'. I told her she could walk or I would carry her, but she was going. So I got to carry 34 lbs of screaming 3 year old out to the car. I talked to her teachers and they said nothing is going on at school, she's an angel after I leave, so she seems to be saving this special attitude for me. I'm trying to stay strong and enforce boundaries, but man, it's exhausting/frustrating
My ILs are sweet people and I like them and they have been very nice to me but I am a little perplexed by their gift giving plans. We won't see them this year since they are OOT. Meanwhile DH and I will be traveling so our mail will be stopped and we won't be in a good spot to look for packages. So ILs tell DH that their plan is to give me $ for the remote car starter I want and then they will get him some sort of combination of gifts. But apparently ILs told DH their $$ plans for this and he repeated it exactly to me as they will write you a check for X and I will get 2X.
I'm not trying to sound gift grabby and like the $ or amount is important (but I probably do) but my initial reaction was like, so I'm considered a half member of the family to you? I'm over it now and didn't say anything to DH but it was a weird thing to process internally as a new member of their family.

We have gone through this a lot. Did loved daycare but would still not want to go in the morning and especially with school. Dh has had to carry out 50lb 6 year old with no shoes on before to try to make the bus!
I think I'm done using shutterfly for our cards. I've liked them in the past. Last year's looked great. I ordered 2 designs in card stock this year. Even with 50% off + 25% off +$20 off they were more than I really wanted to spend. But I loved them and photography is my thing so I am big on my photo cards.
Get them and disappointed. The pictures don't look great. Last year's card must have been upgraded card stock because it was shinier and printed so much better. But previous years were regular card stock and looked better. And my photos are good quality so it's not me.
I complain and am emailed that I can reorder with upgraded paper and rush shipping and they will put the credit in my account to order if I want that or can get a 25% credit for future purchase. I try doing reorder yesterday and they won't honor what the email said and give me the better paper. I'm not spending more at this point! And the alternative is a measly credit for future purchase! I'm done with them!! Their card prices keep getting more and more ridiculous. These cards are not worth what I paid. I feel like they are doing a crappier job on the cheaper options so you have to go more expensive. And if there customer service can't make up for it I'm moving on.

Dh and I just had this same discussion. I think their prices are going up on everything.

Amber, I would have been livid at DH. We are grown now... hire movers. Best money we spent when we moved.
I totally agree with you! And maybe if we had more than 4 days notice and it wasn't 2 weeks before Christmas I wouldn't be as irritated. Like I said, not a single one of them would change plans (even though, yes, we can put our tree up at another time) for us. And, they never call him to do fun things - but need help moving and he's probably first on the list. :P
I hope poor EJ is feeling better soon! (And that you don't catch her cooties!)

don't even get me started on shutterfly...... so you use to be able to stack coupons..... I ordered 2 calendars today. Got 40% off and still was over the $49 for free shipping. Oh wait can't use both. $10 to ship 2 calendars. Grrr. good thing the grammie's love these so much. annoying.

I was OK with the card prices--but feel like the shipping has been out of control lately. My $10 coupon really only negates the shipping.
I've always had such good experiences with Shutterfly - they've always let me re-order things free of charge if I haven't liked something (even when it was my mistake). My order was over $49, so I was able to get free shipping, plus an additional 25% off sale prices + my $10 coupon. I did notice their prices going up, but I still think their cards are less expensive than a lot of the other alternatives. Although, I always pick from the cheapest selections and choose the matte option, I usually don't updgrade to cardstock.

Shipping was crazy! I will say, I've always been please with their customer service.
Shuttery lets you stack certain things but not everything. There's no rhyme or reason so it's always confusing!
So I got another email from shutterfly. I told them about yesterday and that at this point it's too late to order so I'd rather have some sort of refund. They respond that now they have added a credit with the upgraded paper (hello...too late!!) but it's only for half my order. Ugh! I gave up on reordering after all the issues yesterday and don't want to wait till mid week next week to send out so I've already been working on the current cards. Would have reordered yesterday if they could have gotten it together.
Oh and they said they have some image enhancement crap that defaults on and could be the reason their printing sucks. In other words it probably helps bad photos but if you've already photoshopped your photos as I do it will over enhance them. So you need to take it off. Never heard of this with them and never had issues in the past so who knows
Oh and I've always been happy with their customer service in the past. They've offered me more in the past for smaller issues. This year seems different! They have always been really accommodating in the past.

That's interesting. I wonder why our photos looked so crappy on our cards this year. It's so washed out.
Another irritation. Really Kohls?! Was this humongous box necessary for a frame (and not a giant one) and a box of food saver bags?!?! Probably took up 1/4 of this box. And my 3rd item (just leggings) was shipped seperately!! Can't wait to see what ridiculous box that will come in!

I typed out what was irritating me and it made me feel like a spoiled brat, so I deleted it. Plus, if a certain family member saw it (which is unlikely, but this is a public board) it may hurt feelings.
Let' just say, it makes me sad when I have plans and expectations, and then they have to change...I'll survive, but some days the bratty part of my attitude wins out, at least internally!

We ALL feel like this at times. Hugs.

Thanks for the comment Kris. There are probably quite a few families like this, I just never realized it because of being in the bubble of what my family does.

I will add to this that my mother goes absolutely crazy at Christmas. I have been with my husband since high school so he has had 20+ years of understanding her crazy. She does by SO nice gifts.
