    Ooh, I have another one!

I can't stand Swiffers and all of the other ones out there. I feel like they just push dirt around. I guess they are good for a quick clean up, but I like my good old-fashioned mop. To each their own, I guess.

I love swiffers (The dry ones, not the mops). Our dog sheds like a beast and we have wood floors; sniffers pick up the hair so much better than a broom.

  • I only like two things about summer.  I like that fact that I have a vegetable garden and I do not have to buy produce for the whole season.  And I like swimming.
Other than that, I am for winter all the way.

I judge people on my facebook feed that post pictures of their weight losses and it turns out they were promoting some product that helped them
    I hate that I judge it...but I do.

  • The online sales, especially through facebook drive me insane. No offense if anyone here sells those stupid Jamberry nails, but it has to stop. I have invitations to at least 4 different parties. What really grinds my gears are the reps who complain they have no money (hence the extra job selling this crap) then turn around and buy sheets of the nail sheets. I don't think you get free samples to show off the product.

Gofundme's and kickstarters also drive me crazy. I've heard of movie stars trying to raise money to make a movie, no you have plenty of your own money, use that. I know people who refuse to get a job who send out gofundme requests so that they can fund Christmas presents and get their car fixed. I've heard people do it for weddings too but I'm not sure if that's true.

Wow, so basically these sites are just used for online begging? That's terrible. I am all for charity and give regularly, but that is ridiculous IMO.

I've seen legit GoFundMe's used for casual charitable fundraisers - like a local family whose 5 year old has cancer, someone set up a GoFundMe as a fund raiser for the family's medical bills etc.  That stuff, if you know the people, is legit and I'm cool with that.  But I bet that there are even some of those sort of things set up that are fake.  And there are lots and lots of them that are pretty much just begging.  And that's not cool at all.

This.  I'm totally cool with the legit ones but yesterday I was looking for one and all the ones I found were 'pay for my study abroad' 'buy me a new car', etc.  I have a FB friend who has been prepping for a social work certification and when it finally came time to take the test, she set up a gofundme to have people pay for it because she couldn't afford it.

I don't give a fig if someone wants to beg for money to get a boob job through a gofundme account.  I figure If someone is stupid enough to contribute to it, it doesn't affect my life whatsoever.

True.  There's just something about setting up an account for that kind of begging that cheapens the medium for people who are using it legitimately.
  • I can't handle all of my friends selling shit.  I don't want Usborne books, essential oils, nail stickers, 31 bags, Avon, or whatever else it is you're selling.  Delete, delete, delete.  I don't want to join your Facebook party or, God forbid, sign up to sell under you.  NO ONE LIKES THIS.

And as far as essential oils are concerned - if you are counting on it to do anything other than smell nice and soothing or at most ease some symptoms, you don't understand the way germs work.  Oils do not prevent disease or take the place of actual medicine.

While this annoys me as an adult, when I was a kid, I loved fundraiser times that had candy bars for sale at school. I never sold them, but I appreciated being able to score some chocolate!

  • I think the ones asking for boob jobs and car repairs ruin it for the people who really need it. If your child has cancer or your lost your house in a fire please send me the link I"ll help out.

The gem creams are a new one that I get requests for...I literally don't get it. Even the jewelry candles, while no one tries to sell them I know people who buy tons of candles just to burn right through them. Fine, just don't complain you don't have money.

Speaking of complaining about not having money, people who post on facebook that they pay for $4 coffee every single day, drive huge SUV's and trucks they can't afford, then complain when I post I"m going on a week long vacation drive me crazy. I don't care how you spend your money, but bringing coffee from home can help you save for a vacation later on.
  • The diets scare me too! A lot of these "cleanse" diets seem like you're going to end up with health problems later. Never mind a lot of people don't follow their beach body shake with a long walk or trip to the gym. It's Slim Fast for the 21st century.
  • I participated in a craft fair last weekend that ended up being about 90% MLM sellers. It really cheapened the event for me.

  • I totally don't get the whole thing.

A good friend of mine sold Stella and Dot, but recently quit because she wasn't any good at it.  And by not any good, I mean she'd pass out catalogs to her friends who wanted them and not bother anyone about buying anything and didn't have any parties.  So of course we all bought stuff when we felt like it and didn't buy stuff when we didn't feel like it and then she gave us all her 'employee' discount so she never made any money ever.

Is that candle place still around?  Scentsy or something?

Oh I've had realllllly good chocolate cake and real red velvet cake.  The really good chocolate cake was better.
Not that I can eat chocolate at all anymore.

Maybe I have been missing out on really good red velvet. Not for lack of trying as can be witnessed by my hips.
I have had to die for chocolate cake. Like cry real tears over a piece of cake. I am willing to try any cake sent my way to prove I am wrong @MrsC_007 and @84Lauren .

  • I honestly-and yes you can judge my stupid a$$-forgot that red velvet was chocolate cake.

Being from the Northeast I didn't know Red Velvet cake was chocolate cake. We don't have it much up here and from what I hear what we do get isn't as good as the real thing.
  • I thought red velvet had some chocolate in it, but it wasn't really a chocolate cake per se?  #redvelvetnovice
