Re: Monday Accountability

  • @curiouskiddosmama  Sorry if I missed it, but are you expecting?
@brij2006 yes we are! Baby number 2 is expected about February 10!!! And this time around morning sickness is totally kicking my butt.
girl!  lol - i was sick pretty much the entire pregnancy with DD.  Hoping for a boy next time
SITB... Congratulations @CuriousKiddosMama! I had morning sickness thru 16 weeks with both of my boys. With my first it reappeared in the third trimester for a bit but not as bad. My mom had morning sickness with all of her pregnancies, my sister never had a moment! :(
you just never know I guess.  I was counting down the weeks to 2nd trimester thinking that was the magical number to end the puking but it never did.  Doing a lot of visualizing and positive thinking before we even TTC.
@vlagrl29 I give you so much credit for dealing with morning sickness the entire pregnancy! Not easy. I thought throwing up in the middle of the night and randomly at work was bad for the time I had it.
LOL.  Yep pretty much  my entire 2nd Tri if I woke up around 3am and couldn't fall back asleep right away I would end up puking in the bathroom and then starving because my tummy was empty.  GAH - it was a vicious cycle of starving and puking. I told DH I didn't want anymore kids even the first year of DD's live I didn't want anymore, but around age 3 I started to realize that I wanted 1 more.  I don't think my future 2nd pregnancy could be any worse honestly.

When we get our new house, we will be getting an Intex hot tub. They are only $400 or so and you can put them up and take them down whenever you want. It isn't the REAL thing but we tried it out at our friends house last weekend and I loved it...It's cheap to maintain too, so that will do for now.
Hmmm...can you leave them filled with water (with a cover)?  Or do they need to be emptied and refilled with each use?
No, you can leave the water in there with a cover on...its comes with everything. My friend said you just have to empty and refill with clean water every few months. It even has bubbles!

Thanks for the additional info!  That sounds right up my alley.  A low enough cost for something I would probably only use a few times a month for less than half the year.

My dream house would have a huge 2-person Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom, but that's the kind of tub a house would need to be built around!

Yea, we don't have many warm hot months either. April/May through Sept/Oct probably so not worth it to buy a big one $$$.

I've always wanted a jet tub too! but not happening, so this is as close as we can get

Haha, I'm actually just the opposite.  I have too many hot months where a hot tub would just be miserable.  I'd be able to use one in Oct.-Nov...a bit in Dec.-Jan., though it can often be too cold...and then Feb.-mid April.  End of April, it starts getting into the 80s and just goes up from there.
