Re: Fall TV

  • I don't care about anything else except for the return of Walking Dead.

  • Big bang theory!

    My favorite Cake Wreck ever.

  • All my supernatural shows are back soon: Once Upon a Time, Sleepy Hollow, American Horror Story, Grimm. Plus New Girl.

I'm looking forward to the Heroes: Reborn reboot, too.

  • Maybe the nerdiest part of my life is that I'm obsessed with Survivor. This season's cast was (for the first time) voted on by the public from a bunch of past contestants. I can't wait to see how it goes.

  • Three of my favorites start again this month:

    The Amazing Race
    Downton Abbey
    Doctor Who

  • Definitely the Heroes reboot!  That show had so much potential and then just crashed and burned.  I hope it redeems itself because season 1 was so amazing.

I need to find a new show.  I haven't really watched anything that isn't on Disney Jr. in about 5 years.

  • I only use Netflix, but I am super excited for season 6 of The Vampire Diaries to be added. I am asssuming this will happen once season 7 starts on cable. I hoping the same thing happens with The Walking Dead. I need my Daryl Dixon fix.

  • Yeah, we don't have regular TV anymore either - just Netflix and Amazon Prime.  I'm looking forward to the second part of Outlander Season 1 coming out on DVD, and I don't even know when that's happening!  Right now we also have a two week free trial of Hulu, just so we could watch Wayward Pines, but I don't think we're going to keep it.

Do any of you guys pay for Hulu?  If so, what do you like about it?  There are a few shows that I could see myself getting into, but I pretty much never watch TV by myself, and most of what I think I'd like on there are things I doubt DH would be into (15 seasons of Top Model), so I don't think it would be worth paying for.

I pay for Hulu but am going to stop.  We've watched it once or twice but there is plenty on Netflix and Amazon Prime to keep us occupied.

I paid for Hulu Plus for a while but cancelled it. We just didn't ever watch it.

@jackiback I used to watch every single season of Survivor.  We had weekly Survivor parties in college.  I haven't watched the last handful of seasons though.  My college roommate still watches so we're going to have virtual viewing parties this season.  LOL.  I hope this season is good.  I don't care about much of the contestants though.

It's probably because a LOT of them are from recent seasons. You should try to watch this last one if you have a chance, I really, really liked it.

  • We also had Hulu Plus but canceled. There were still SO MANY commercials. I hated paying for it and watching a zillion commercials.

We just have Netflix and Amazon Prime but we can get a couple regular network stations if we put the antenna up and point it just right and stop breathing and moving.

  • I'm excited for Homeland to be back.  I also watch The Leftovers, TVD, The Originals and Jane the Virgin.    I'd like to find a new series.  I'm not sure what.  Something my husband and I can watch together.  Right now I mostly watch taped episodes of House Hunters Renovation.  It drives him crazy but I just love it.

DH don't agree on most TV shows. We do watch The Walking Dead together though.

  • Did you see this yesterday? There's only one movie on there that I had on my queue so I moved it to the top but otherwise I'm not to bent about the changes: http://www.themarysue.com/netflix-september-gains-and-losses/

I'm over all of the losses, and pretty psyched about the addition of Mr. Rogers, Moonrise Kingdom, Keith Richards and Mandela.  Thanks for posting the link!

Well, crap! I don't see TVD or The Originals on there. :(   Yay, for more of The Walking Dead though.

  • I'm excited for the new season of "Faking It" and eventually season 4 of Awkward, but I have to catch up via Amazon first. I want to check out "Scream Queens" and I'm hopeful the new AHS is good, but the last season was so terrible.

I also have a hard time finding shows to watch with my husband. We've watched Skin Wars and Ink Master and now those shows have spin offs, I'll probably end up watching them but I know they'll be fluffy.

Finally! I'll get to watch the last season of Parenthood.

  • I can't wait for The Originals, TVD, Sleep Hollow, New Girl, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Mom, Masterchef Jr, 2 Broke Girls, and The Amazing Race.  I think I want to try watching Walking Dead and maybe American Horror Story on netflix, I've never seen either one.

  • I'm just waiting for the last season of New Girl, Once Upon a Time, Parks & Rec to update on Netflix & Prime. I have no idea what new shows are out there. Maybe I'll check out the Heroes reboot. Otherwise, still happily catching up on tons of old shows I've never seen.
  • Does anyone watch Gotham?  DH has made me watch commercials for it so many times "to see if I'd be into it," and I just don't think I am.

I cannot stand that show. Paul watches it sometimes and I have to leave the room. I just find all the characters despicable and not interesting.

  • I still have a few shows queued up on the DVR, like GOT and Orphan Black, but I'm looking forward to the next season of Outlander, The Walking Dead, and Archer. Has anyone started watching the The Walking Dead spinoff?

  • OK, I lied. I forgot about Castle (which is actually the main reason we keep Hulu Plus. That and cooking shows like Master Chef Jr. and such. )

  • The only scripted show I'm excited about watching are Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder.

The only other shows I watch are trashy reality shows like Vanderpump Rules and the like.

Ahh! I got Scandal obsessed and watched them all on Netflix this summer but forgot it was possible to watch them as they aired! Squee!
