I've been growing my hair out forever.

It can fit in a messy bun now.

I'm never cutting it short again.

I think with my collection of yoga pants and the new addition of a messy bun, I am pretty officially in the SAHM club now.

  • Congrats! I'm not a SAHM, but maybe my collection of yoga pants would qualify me? I can finally get my hair in a bun, but I want the bun to be higher up on my head. I can't do that yet, without the bottom pieces falling out. I am too lazy to bobby pin them.

  • Yes! Mine is on top of my head, no strays. It's glorious.

  • I've been trying to grow mine out enough to donate for a few years...feel like it will never get long enough. I donated years ago but I had to go chin length which isn't a good look for me. I hate to say it, but the hair struggle is real, too short/too long you can't win.
  • I just cut my hair and only wear yoga pants to yoga. Guess I'm not in the club.

For the record, I do not attend a yoga class. I have in the past, so that counts.

I do have a yoga DVD that gets used about 2-3 times per year. Rodney Yee is the instructor. DS asked why he was wearing girl underpants!

Word.  Yoga is expensive!  I rarely wear them outside the house, but it is my at-home attire.

Same here. I'll wear them around the yard and in the house, but that is about it. Oh, and to run, when I actually do exercise. This sounds old-fashioned, but I don't feel like are modest enough to wear in public. Just my personal opinion, of course. To each their own.

I started going to a yoga class this year.  Whenever we do that pose (warrior II) & flip our hand up, I want to do the Neo "bring it" hand motion.

Do it!!! lol  That would be awesome.

  • I could probably get mine in a man-bun.  LOL.  I'm debating on letting mine grow out--because when it's short, you can see the scar down towards my neck.  Plus, it would be nice to pull it back sometimes.

But I don't have your pretty hair either, so I don't know if I could pull it off

     "Live like there's no midnight."

  • Yoga pants are the best thing ever for wearing around the house or for actual exercise. So comfy. But my inner diva balks at wearing them in public (other than exercise). I'm particular that way. I feel sloppy in the comfy house clothes and cannot bring myself to wear them in social settings of any type. I couldn't even bring myself to wear them on the 12 hour Amtrak trip we took in July. I wore a long jersey material skirt instead.

  • This has inspired me to wear leggings today (under a dress- no uncovered bum at work for me thank you).

Love the messy bun but you would not believe the height and volume of my messy bun some days. I am not kidding when I say that it took up three hair ties and about 8 inches in height over the weekend. I looked like a lunatic. I'm still growing it out too!
  • I rock a messy bun and yoga pants often, but I wish I had pretty curly hair to give my messy bun some oomph.  Mine always looks kind of sad with my straight, thin hair.
    :(
  • I wear yoga pants all the time. Love them. But I usually wear them with a long t-shirt so it covers my butt. I don't care if other people like them or not. Comfort first.

I would be okay with doing that. Then it is almost like wearing leggings. I just would feel awkward and self-conscious with all my nooks and crannies outlined and not covered. DH has assured me that men love yoga pants for a reason. ;)

ETA: Not that it should matter what perverted men think! I posted the comment above about men's love of yoga pants and then thought I should clarify.

  • No one could pay me enough money to wear yoga pants in public.  Me wearing yoga pants in public would be just as likely to happen as me wearing a pair of Toms.

Word.  With my body type I definitely fall into the category of "no one wants to see that" but I don't really care whether or not they want to see it.  I'm not trying to win any beauty contests, I just want some Starbucks and to run my errands.

  • My H doesn't 'forbid' me from doing things because that's not the kind of relationship we have, but he's emphasized strongly that he prefers that I not wear yoga pants outside of the house. He says I have a nice figure and yoga pants show everything, so he doesn't like other men ogling the goods. It's a tad annoying, but I don't mind abiding by his wishes since it's no big deal to me.

Kids should not have to endure their parents bad choices in footwear.

Huh. My H is the exact opposite. He's said to me several times, "Why don't you wear yoga pants outside of the house? Guys like that stuff."

  • Unpopular opinion of the day: I think kids' crocs are adorable.  Especially the tiny little toddler ones with the straps.
    imageimage image
  • But there should be an age limit on them. After 10, your feet shall go croc-less.

  • DS is 4 and looks super cute in his camo crocs, if I do say so myself. He loves them with a fiery passion and I love them because I am lazy and he can put these on himself. I will be cutting him off from the crocs at a later date, probably at 9 or so.
