Cleaning lady. With my work schedule, errands, and helping H with his business, paying someone do the deep cleaning is totally worth it.

Cleaners, for SURE.

I pay $3.99 to have groceries delivered instead of going to the grocery store. It's well worth 4 bucks.

I also pay 12.50 per flight to get A boarding on Southwest. Worth it every time.

I fly into my hometown instead of LAX when I go visit even though it is quite a bit more expensive. The ease of flying into a small town airport as opposed to LA and 2+ hour drive is worth every penny.

I will also pay more for gas to be able to get in and out of the gas station easily.

Cleaning lady--and I have groceries delivered as of this weekend. All of the household responsibilities fall on me, as well as my full time job and being a mommy. I don't feel guilty what-so-ever.

We also pay extra for a hotel to get Hampton Inn/Hilton because the beds are comfy and the locations are more convenient.

I used to pay wash/dry/fold service for laundry before I had my own washer and dryer.

I dream of paying for a cleaning service, but DH is against it.

I know there are others . . .

I think we are married to the same guy! I wholeheartedly feel that a cleaning person would be worth every single penny. DH is on the fence. I have almost worn him down on this.

Lawn service - saves everyone in the house time, worth the $$

Not really a service, but using atm's. I will go to any atm & pay the fee rather than go out of the way to use my bank. It's easier and worth the $3

I'd love to pay a cleaning person, dh says no

My friend pays a service to pick up dog poop in the yard. Trying to figure out a way to do this without dh finding out lol.

J can't stand the thought of someone in our house while we're not here. I try once or twice a year to convince him to hire a cleaning service, but it hasn't worked yet.

I'm *this* close on at least fall and spring yard clean up. Mowing I can handle, but I detest raking/weeding/edging.

I want a cleaning service, if only 2 or 3 times a year for a deep clean before we have people over. DH and I usually have to clean later on a week night after I get home from work, it's exhausting at the end of the day.

My husband prefers to do all inclusive or group tour vacations whenever possible. I think he likes the convenience of not opening your wallet or renting a car. I'm starting to go in the other direction as I want to see more/do more on our own, but I can see the value if you're going for a week of R&R.

Not sure if this counts, but we still pay for DVR. I watch about 2 hours of TV a night if I'm lucky, and my husband won't watch most of the stuff I like. I have to wait for him to work an overnight or weekend to catch up on my stuff. It's a treat even if it costs more.

I pay more to get pre-cut up fruit (strawberries, melons) from the grocery store. It's well worth it for me. I hate the kitchen and don't want to be spending my mornings cutting fruit for my little fruit goblin DD.

I want a cleaning service. But I can't get over the creepiness of having someone in my house.

Valet parking when available. I hate having to deal with parking.

I will pay extra to go to a store that doesn't make me get a card, or give me puzzle pieces for some stoopid pro-mo game or other ridiculousness. I want to buy fucking groceries, not play fucking monopoly. I just want to pay for my food and get the hell out of the store.

Portion sized things at the grocery store, veggies and fruit salad.

I also pay for online grocery orders at our local grocery store, in the long run we save money.

I also prefer to go to Target over Walmart, usually things are more expensive at Target and of course all the needless things that jump into your cart at Target, but I cannot handle Walmart. In addition Walmart is 5 minutes away and Target is a half hour, it's worth the drive.

Oh, the pre-cut fruit. For sure. DH used to give me such shit about how expensive that is, but he has learned to just let it go.

The weird thing is, if I actually have the time, I love cutting up fruits and veggies. I just never ever have the time.

And ditto on the valets and ATMs, too. It's worth a $2 ATM fee for me to drive through another bank's ATM and not have to get the kids out of the car at my bank's walk-up ATM. Dh hates to valet - like, he thinks the valet is going to go and make a copy of his house key and then use his registration to look up our home address to go and rob our house. This ties into the cleaning service issues he has, right?

My FIL mows our lawn all summer.

Same here! DH doesn't get it. On the rare occasion that I do enter our local WalMart, I always reward myself for not freaking out by stopping by the Dunkin Donuts on the way home for an iced coffee.

I witnessed an arguement on FB the other day about the value of this Blue Apron (?) service. Apparently you pay someone to give you a bag with all the ingredients, spices everything ready to go. The person who's trying the service is single and has with portion control, never mind going to the grocery store is a PITA. The nay-sayers with kids tried to argue this service is more expensive. In the end I'd rather have something ready and I just have to put it together than shop and cook, I hate to cook and default to take out too much.

In northern NE we have Market Basket, it's a LOT cheaper than other chain grocery stores but it's beyond a PITA. No word of a lie, every single day, no matter what time of day is like shopping right before a snow storm. Savings are worth it, but you usually have a people of MB story to tell.

Definitely a yard guy. DH and I are either in a parsonage or a rental and every location is different so it doesn't make good sense to have our own lawnmower when our next location could have trustees to cut the grass.

I'm also a Target over Walmart person. Our target is 30 minutes away but the Wally is 10. I just hate it. The people who work there look like Dementors sucked out their souls and the patrons...there's a reason the People of Walmart site exists.

I have. My SIL cleans my Dad's house once a week for extra cash and I've even suggested that. I would complain more if he didn't help out, but he really does. He even tries harder after I suggest it. He realllllllly doesn't want it.

I just feel like it's worth the cost not to have to worry about it. He disagrees.

My DH is the exact same way. I have a friend who recently quit her day job to be a SAHM, but then she started her own organic cleaning/organizing service for some extra cash. She's a close friend who I have been close to since HS, and DH even said no to having her come. In that case, he is weirded out by having someone we're close with come and clean our house. There is no compromise with him. And he doesn't help out nearly enough to make up for it.

We don't have Market Basket in RI. Now I I feel like I'm missing out. I've been to them in MA and NH, and I always thought it was just another grocery store.

Personal stuff is totally worth the cost for me, too - pedicures and eyebrow threading on the reg.

Add me to the pile of "I'd love to have a cleaner." XH was against it even when we lived in China, and we were the only ex-pats we knew who didn't. And it would have cost next to nothing.

Eventually I gave up and started to take pride in it. "You clean your own apartment?! Wow!" Seriously though, with the amount of dust in Beijing, it was a never-ending battle.

When I buy clothes in the US, I order a ton of stuff online and try it on at my leisure at my parents' house. Then I just return all the stuff that didn't fit or that I didn't really like.

The hassle of going to all the stores, finding things I like, finding the right sizes, trying it all on in a cramped dressing room... Too much work.

(This probably has a lot to do with the fact that I do almost all of my clothing shopping for the year at once, when I'm flying back to visit.)
