Black Friday deals

Re: Black Friday deals

  • I don't even want to think about the totals, especially since we said we were going to go lite on the shopping because of the unknown job situation after the beginning of the year. But we ended up getting some great deals, and I have kohls cash and JCP coupons that helped add to the savings.

Staples: I got a new laptop ($300 with taxes) and DH got a 3-in-1 laptop tablet thing that he has been really wanting for offshore for just over $300.

Kohls: New quick dry towels for our master bath, a fuzzy blanket for DS and a super cute Mickey Mouse hooded towel for him, and a shirt for DH for $55.

Herbergers: $25 Kcups gift for my mom. New sheet set for us, full size fuzzy blanket for DS bed, and several NDSU shirts for DH for Christmas. I want to say this was about $100.

JCP: I was in line early with DH and we got 2 $10 off $10 coupons, plus I had recieved one in the mail, so we got him 2 packs of boxers, 2 packs of white t shirts, and a shirt. I took advantage of the gift card deal as well (probably spent too much here, but DH is on a major diet and has already lost 20 lbs, so we will use this in the future for new clothes). Our total at JCP was $300, and I have $75 in coupons to use this month.

Target: New flannel sheets for DS bed was under $20.

The body shop: I ordered my christmas present for DH and got their black friday bag as well, so the total I think was $50 because one of the items was sold out and they didn't charge me for it.

That was way more shopping than I wanted to do, but I'm happy with the deals we got. We needed new bedding, the only things we could have skipped were the new towel and the JCP gift cards.

  • I ended up doing mostly online shopping.

$48 at StrideRite for shoes for DD in her current size and a couple sizes up.
$56 at Kohls for a winter jacket, Christmas dress, and daycare clothes for DD (I might return the Christmas dress though)
$60 at Carters for a few sleepers, fleece lined jeans in her current and next size, 5 pack of white onsies (didn't realize I had none for her till I pulled out her box of clothes), and a fleece all in one suit for cold days.
$200 on car seat for my parents' vehicle (they will pay me for this).
$27 at Bath and Body for 2 candles and body cream for gifts.
$16 at Bergners for coffee as a gift and a shirt for me.

  • I'm in Canada, but we are starting to see Black Friday deals. Our thanksgiving was in early October, but it's fun to kick off the Christmas season. I finished all my shopping. Best deal was a lounger chair for DD for 49 at Walmart. It looks really comfy and cute, plus I was planning on spending 200 on a pottery barn one so I came out way ahead.
  • Black Friday
JCP: I spent $65 on four pairs of Worthington trousers, two shirts, a cardigan and a Carter's outfit for my nephew.

Kohls: I got a packable coat for $30 (regular price $100) in store. Online I bought a Columbia puffer (didn't have my size or the color I wanted in the store) and a shirt for H. Used an online coupon plus free shipping and Ebates! (Now we have $30 Kohls cash plus a friend's and family coupon to use for H's work shirts.)

    Shop Small Saturday -
We went downtown and bought gifts for family.

    Cyber Monday
    Shutterfly: Christmas cards ordered!
Target: couldn't actually buy anything because of their site issues...

  • I just did 2 Black Friday stops...

-JC Penney - $94 on a pair of work pants, 2 sweaters, 1 top, and 1 necklace for me, and 1 dress shirt for H.

-Petsmart - $42 on a stocking full of toys for our younger dog, chew treats for our older dog, and on their usual food

Also spent $34 on Cyber Monday for a robe for H.

  • We only got two things on Black Friday. The drive in we like was having a sale on packages for their 2016 season, so we picked up one of those. Came out to tickets being less than $4 each plus came with popcorn and drinks for one movie. That was $27 including shipping.

The other thing we got was a controller for the PS4. It was on sale for $40 from $60, but came with $25 in points at Sears. So essentially, the controller was $15, plus it came with charging cables which they don't normally. We don't have a PS4 yet, but plan on getting one when there is a good enough deal/bundle. We just couldn't pass up the controller for that price.
