I run non-industry research projects in a gastroenterology practice and an academic medical center (governement sponsored research rather than pharmaceutical company sponsored).

Education (degrees, certifications, training) Bachelors in Business Management. I also almost had an associates in Culinary Arts before I switched out of the Hospitality field and did a more generalized degree to have a larger market. So I have quite a bit of Culinary background.
Career Field Insurance
Position/Responsibilities I am an insurance agent for a independent agency. We primarily sell crop and farm insurance for the rural community, but I was put on the project of growing our personal lines side about 4 years ago. So I handle the home, auto, life insurance, and all of those types of things.
Also do a lot of the background work for our farm and commercial insurance clients. I've been here 8 years and spent the first 4 working specifically with farmers for their insurance.

H is a machinist. So he takes big pieces of metal and makes them into usable parts for larger equipment. Their largest client is John Deere. He mostly manages 25 guys in the shop and does all of the programming with John Deere's engineers to figure out how to get the parts made and all that fun stuff.

AKA, he's a nerd and likes numbers and computers, but has really good management skills.

He's been doing it for 12 years now.

He turned the big 3-0 a week ago.

BM in vocal performance and DH has BS in computer science. I own a music school and DH is in software sales and works for a private company. I've owned by business for 5 years and DH has been with his company doing a variety of different technical jobs for almost 10 years. I'm 27 and he's 32 years old.

I have my BA in psych with minors in soc/chem/premed. I am also a state licensed addiction counselor.

DH: Has a general AA.

DH: Sales

Position/Responsibilities

I am a domestic violence advocate, working with victims and survivors of DV. I do not currently practice using my state license since our agency is licensed by the state for addiction counseling.

DH: He sells and designs souvenir products such as snowglobes, pens, and key chains. He actually gets to travel a lot, to really cool places.

Years of Work Experience

I have been working in the social services field for about three years. However, I started painting houses, every summer, with my brother and uncle when I was 12. That's how I would pay for school clothes. I have worked retail for 12 years now.

DH: He has been at his current job for 4 years but in the work force for 11 years now.
