    1. Not bad, we did some cash shopping out of boredom $30 Dicks Sporting, $20 Walmart, $25 Ace. We also ordered a Weber grill with $100 off and 5% with our Lowe's card, free assemble/delivery...major savings, couldn't pass it up and wait until spring!

    2. Back to saving mode! We had some good bonuses and OT at work.

Our last $100 towards spending for our long weekend/family wedding in Sept-DONE!

$100 to home deport cc-only $274 to go!

$820 to e-fund- need to build this back up

    $500 to Sandals vacay fund

    3. My favorite room is our living room. It's a light blue color with a nice bay window looking out to the front yard. We also have a beautiful white fireplace with some nice woodwork around it. It's just cute lol. The whole room needs décor still but waiting until we buy a new furniture set because I'm not sure of the color scheme yet....

    1.  How MM was your week/end? It was pretty good mostly because we haven't grocery shopped yet. Old Navy back to school shopping ($55), Target ($22), more bullnose tile for the bathroom ($31). DD#1 got $150 for her bank account plus some target gift cards that she can't wait to spend on legos and art supplies... pretty good for turning 6. I also sold some fabric on IG ($100) and got $150 in etsy gift cards for my birthday... not too shabby.
I forgot! We finally ordered a letterfolk board ($125) for our house- we have wanted one for a while now and we have a perfect space in our downstairs hallway area. Can't wait to fill it with quotes- both girls have come up with some really funny sayings lately.  :)

    2.  Any progress toward goals? Nothing financial. We're making progress on the bathroom- wonder board will go down tomorrow and hopefully the floor tile can be installed on Friday. DH has 2 days of curriculum development this week and 4 next week... back to school is right around the corner.

    3.  What's your favorite room out/inside your house? This is tough- each room is special. Our house is on the smaller side for 4 people (about 1,600 sq ft) so we're usually together in one room. Our living room/dining room/kitchen all kind of flow together so that's probably my favorite area because we spend the most time there with the girls. I also love my sewing room when I have the chance to sew- the girls like to play and color in there with me and DH takes a nap on the day bed.

    1. Fair.  Spent $100 on groceries.  Saturday night we went to dinner at the kids' restaurant where we had our first date (it's where we are in my profile pic).  We spent about $60 there and then $20 for drinks at the soccer game afterwards (H had season tickets so those were paid for using his mad money).

    2. Nothing last week, but this week I'm sending an extra $150 earned from side hustles to our mortgage principal.  Next week we send in our very last student loan payment EVER!!!

    3.  Our house is tiny, about 900 square feet excluding any unfinished spaces.  There is one room upstairs that I just kept sealed off when I was living here alone, but now we call it the 'man mezzanine.'  It's essentially a bedroom turned into an office with a tv, lazy boy and our desktop computer.  Plus there's a bookshelf that when you push on it reveals itself as a secret door to the rest of the attic.

  • 1. It's was good!  $30 for gas, $40 on groceries, and $20 at the hardware store for wasp spray, a can of spray paint, and a roll of painter's tape.

    2. $250 to savings, $100 to our cash stash for our trip in two weeks!

    3. Tough call here. We currently don't have living room furniture in our actual living room, so we spend all our time in the basement. But I spent a lot of time putting our kitchen together and I just love it in there.
  • 1.  How MM was your week/end? Eh - not very but not a budget breaker either. I had some gift cards that I used at the spa on Saturday so after those were applied I spent $150 (including parking). It was 4.5 hours of massage, body scrub, mini facial, and a mani/pedi and it was worth every penny. I will definitely be going back to that masseuse - she was amazing! Sunday I finally returned the mountain of beer bottles from last week's party ($3 back) and went grocery shopping ($15-20ish I think? it was low because I am trying to work through the freezer and pantry so I didn't need much).

DH said he spent about $400 on his weekend trip to NYC with his brother. Not bad, but not great either. BIL thinks that it's ok to spend recklessly because he gets credit card points so he dragged them to some pricey restaurants. Oye.

    2.  Any progress toward goals? Financial goals are on autopilot and as for life goals I did nothing. It was glorious. DH and I did have a chat about what our next big financial goal will be since we're just saving to save right now. We are deciding between either renovating the kitchen or buying an investment property next year.

    3.  What's your favorite room out/inside your house? My living room. It's where I've spent the most decorating effort and it's super pretty (but not girly).
  • 1.  How MM was your week/end? It was ok. $40 on date night. $100 on groceries. $8 on Saturday morning breakfast and Sunday leftovers.

    2.  Any progress toward goals? Nope. Not until I get paid again. I started moving money from my checking into my savings account, which I haven't done in FOREVER because we've been so focused on using it all to pay off our debt. My goal is to move at least $2k every month until we rebuild our e-fund, and then we'll start focusing on other savings goals.

    3.  What's your favorite room out/inside your house? Inside I think my favorite room is what would be the formal dining room but we use it as a bar/sitting area. It has a large window looking out into the backyard so I like to sit on the couch and read and watch the birds. Outside we have a screened in porch that's really pleasant most of the year. It's wired so we have a ceiling fan out there which helps on those hot and really humid days.
  • 1 - pretty good.  Dinner Friday was $30, Target on Saturday was $40, a snack from McDs on Sunday was $7

    2 - none this week

3 - in our house my favorite room is my music room - a bedroom upstairs I have decorated and painted so I can teach music lessons in our house.  I also use it to practice yoga.  I will put the chairs and stand to the side and lay out a yoga mat.  Honestly though our backyard is my favorite part of the house.  We had a stamped concrete patio poured 3 years ago next to our deck.  No backyard neighbors - just a bit of woods and field behind our fence.
  • 1. Spendy.  We were out doing things all weekend and we had a good time!  The spendy trend will continue since next weekend starts our Chicago trip but I think the end of the year will be some lower spending months.

    2. Not this week.

    3. Our bedroom.  It is the only room with new furniture that we bought together and new bedding that we got as shower presents.  Our bed is so comfortable and we can see the city skyline out the window.  There is not much too it either since it isn't very big.  When I used to clean it was the easiest room in the house to clean :)
  • 1) Ours was mostly good.  I spent $5 at Taco Bell en route to see my parents.  We spent about $40 on gas this weekend because both of us were out of town in different places.  We spent about $40 on groceries too.  H attended a firm retreat which he just found out he has to kick in money for... Thankfully his share was only $150, but it still made me really annoyed.

    2) Not this week.

    3) I love my bedroom because that's where I get to sleep!

  • 1) It was expensive. I was in a wedding, and I'm usually pretty low-maintenance on my beauty routine, so while I budgeted for getting my nails done I completely neglected to buy makeup beyond my usually blush and lip gloss and ended up spending $45 at CVS. I also bought my friend (the bride) a drink and chipped on for her lunch on Friday. But the wedding was fun, it's over, and now I can get back to my goals.

    2) I'm retooling our budgets for this paycheck week but I think we'll just be finishing up with wedding expenses.

    3) I love our backyard. H has a great grilling setup, I have my garden, we've planted a lot of flowers, and the dog is adorable out there. Life is good outside!
  • 1.  How MM was your week/end?
    • Pretty good. We went out to eat (with a gift card)  and stayed home most of the weekend.
    • Went Costco to buy razors for DH and a blanket. Spent $55.

    2.  Any progress toward goals?
    • DH paid off more of his student loans, still on track to pay off by December 2017
    • Got our insurance checks in for the hail damage, now have to book contractors to get work done
    • Some good news, the insurance credited us $4,000 to fix our fence (which has chips/dings in it), however, it's cedar and still in great shape. So we aren't going to fix and can pocket the money.

    3.  What's your favorite room out/inside your house?
    • I love our bedroom. We made custom headboard together last year and our bed is really comfy.

  • 1.  How MM was your week/end?
Oh dear.  So, well, we ended up with another puppy on Sunday.  We saw her posted on our local Facebook buy/sell/trade page, and H said we had to get her so she didn't end up somewhere bad.  She's a 9 month old Boxer.  The people had to give her up because they were moving.  All they brought with her was her crate (no blankets or toys or anything, poor thing), so yesterday I went and bought a bunch of stuff at HomeGoods and Petsmart, it was about $100 worth of stuff.  Also spent $110 at Costco, $75 at the grocery store, $28 on gas, and yesterday, got the plates done for my new car ($832 :(((()  BUT, this was an extra paycheck for me and I had budgeted for most of these things.  The dog stuff, since it was last minute, came from my spending money.  H paid for the dog and will be paying for her to get fixed.

    2.  Any progress toward goals?
    Just a bit to savings.

    3.  What's your favorite room out/inside your house?
I like most of my house, both interior and exterior, but oddly enough, my favorite room is our guest room.  It's got all of my furniture that I had before H and I got together, so it's 100% my style, versus the other rooms are a mix since we have very very different tastes.  When I'm sick with something contagious and/or annoying (like a cough), I actually sleep in there because it's comfy and very relaxing.
