Weekend Plans?

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Pretty boring....

Friday- H picked up some OT so I'm hanging out with my friend tonight

Saturday- Some outdoor house stuff, stopping at my parents house

    Sunday- Gym, cleaning, laundry etc.

  • We have some fun plans--I'm excited!  Summer fun is still going strong for us!

Fri-use my early out to go to the gym, pull weeds, work in the garden and start cleaning.  Try a new restaurant for dinner and watch Olympics.

Sat-complete cleaning (if needed) since we have a BnB guest checking in.  Try to get to the gym.  Go to the park to watch a free band with friends while we pig out on pot luck snacks and drink wine.  Watch more Olympics and DVR in the evening.

Sun-going to see "Roman Holiday" at the old theater for their breakfast and a movie event.  It has a delicious catered breakfast.  Then seeing Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally (comedy) in the evening.
  • No plans tonight!

Saturday the hospital where I work has its annual walk for our Cancer Center.  I'm helping with registration and whatever else is needed.  Then H's family is getting together for lunch.  And then, we're going out for dinner and to a soccer match to celebrate our five year dating anniversary!

I plan to spend Sunday recovering from Saturday.

  • Friday - Today is my H's birthday, but he's in Nashville doing on-campus interviews at Vandy, so I won't see him :(  We celebrated yesterday.

Saturday - H is leaving from Nashville to head to a lake for a practice group retreat.  So I'm going to my hometown to visit my parents this weekend

Sunday - Both of us are headed home, and then some quick errands before the week starts all over again...

  • Have been on vacation since Tuesday, so now I'm down to a long weekend  :(

Friday - more tiling this morning, DD#1 has a doctor's appt, errands, dinner with DH's parents.

    Saturday - DD#1's birthday party!

Sunday - more tiling, grocery shop, meal prep, laundry, clean the house, relax

  • Friday - NADA! I'll probably do some yardwork this afternoon. Bushes need to be trimmed and weeds need to be destroyed.

Saturday - New siding materials are being delivered. I think we'll spend the day removing our front porch railing and work on building its replacement. Hopefully we'll find the time and energy to finish rebuilding the deck too.

Sunday - Probably spend the day with family so I can watch my niece show off her new trick - she's officially walking!
  • Friday- nothing going on tonight!

Saturday- H is working and I am going out to make salsa with my mom. She was just given two 5-gallon buckets full of tomatoes from a local farmer, so it'll take us awhile.

Sunday- I'll be mopping all the floors and doing laundry. I have a lot this week, so I'm really hoping H waits until Monday to do his  I have to get up early enough to beat him to the washer. Haha.
  • Tonight: Going to the fair to eat some fried bad for me goodness.

Tomorrow: Weigh in at Weight Watchers then it's just DD and I all day. We'll run a couple of errands and then likely can a couple batches of pasta sauce.  I'd like to also hit up the farmers market.  If it doesn't end up raining I'll try to wash a couple of the cars too.
Oh and start draining the pool for the season. :disappointed: It's supposed to be 70's/low 80's next week.  Not warm enough.

Sunday: Church then probably a bunch of cleaning and spending time as a family.

  • Friday - my BFF is in town from New York so we are going out for dinner tonight.

Saturday - mid afternoon we are playing a wedding and cocktail hour about 30 minutes outside of town

Sunday - Yoga in the morning and then I start my deep cleaning routine for the week.
  • @LillibetteV  Good luck with IVF!  When do you guys officially start the round?  Also, you're friend is awesome.  Enjoy your wine this week and go get yourself a spa day.

  • Friday -- My half day.  So it's always a good day.  After work I'm going through all my (unused) toiletries...which for some reason I hoard and then never use...to weed stuff out and then take it over to United Way for the Baton Rouge flood victims.  It's easier for me to let go of stuff when it is for a good cause.  We also have a bunch of bottled water to bring.

Saturday -- p/t job in morning, have $30 in slot play to pick up from Harrahs.  Should be able to kill those two birds with one stone, since I drive past Harrahs on my route.  Mystery shop at a nearby coffee shop in the evening.  Walking distance to my house, so my H and the Izzy dog will join.

Side note, you can't say the word "coffee" in front of my dog.  She equates that word with "walk" and gets just as frantically excited.  If my H grabs his insulated coffee cup for that place...not the other ones, just that one...she recognizes it and starts getting happy and dancing around.

Sunday -- resting and loafing around the house.

Thanks! I just started metformin and had a procedure to evaluate my uterus (separate from the HSG I had awhile ago, but I forget what it's called) I'll start the birth control pills on my next cycle in a couple weeks, and then the following cycle will be the egg retrieval and fresh transfer if all goes according to plan! The irony of going back on the Pill to get pregnant cracks me up.

And I actually just got off the phone and booked the spa day. Hour long massage, body scrub w/ vichy shower, and a mani/pedi. I'm going to be a happy puddle of goooooooo

  • Tonight - going to support a friend at her match.

Saturday- our bathroom renovation is done! So it will be our first shower at home in a month. So excited. But then, going to church to paint the rectory basement walls, blegh. I was really looking forward to finally sleeping in this weekend, but no such luck.

Sunday - church for the first time in 3 weeks since we've been out of town a lot. Then, hopefully some relaxing but more likely cleaning, since the whole house is a dirty mess due to the renovation. Every single surface needs a good cleaning and things need to be put back in their places.

The irony.  Start BC so you can get pregnant. ;-)
I have everything crossed for you.  IF is a b*tch.
That spa day sounds amazing.  Then go home and finish off that bottle of wine and watch some crap TV your H doesn't like.

I'm with you on this.  It's in the high-80s/90s here and I don't dare go outside unless I have to.  It's like walking around in an oven.

Oh the 80s/90s are perfect pool weather here.  Once it starts getting in the 70's/low 80's consistently during the day then it gets down to 50s/60s at night.  That's when the pool no longer stays warm enough to use.  Our pool is Memorial Day-Labor Day here.  The past couple of years I've waited it out to see if it's going to warm back up but it never does.  So this year I'm just going to take it down before it goes green.

Sorry I was a bad influence on you!

It started off with a leaking valve.  After I fixed the leak on side of the valve, a leak developed on the other side.  Fixed that side, and a pinhole leak formed on the faucet control in the supply line.  Replaced the faucet and now I have a leak in the valve stem.  Couldn't get another QEST valve over the weekend so need to call some places today.  I hate PEX piping.....
