We don't have anything special planned.

Tonight I'm feeling the itch to re-organize so I think I'll focus my attention on the laundry room. We have a storage bench thing down there that DH made and it's an absolute mess. I really want to paint the basement this year so getting organized down there needs to happen first.

Tomorrow will probably be a project day. DH is restoring a dresser/vanity that I inherited from my great-grandma. I kind of want to run some errands that I haven't had time for this week. That evening we're planning to go to the botanical gardens for live music. We already have a paid membership so it'll be a cheap date night, especially if we eat at home beforehand so we aren't tempted to buy food there.

Sunday I'm planning to just hang out with my mom and sister and niece. My niece turns 1 this month and I can hardly believe it! She's a walking little chatterbox right now and she is so much fun to interact with!
  • Friday- Dog grooming, shopping for our picnic supplies

Saturday- Hosting a family picnic, should be fun

    Sunday- Laundry...bike ride, gym

  • Tonight: Grocery shopping after work
Tomorrow: It's the fundraiser for my brothers' scholarship fund.  It's a bags/cornhole tournament this year. My H and I are going to play together.  AKA we're going to drink a lot and be the worst team playing.  Only negative to tomorrow is that the fundraiser is at the bar my brother was last at before his accident.  So I have mixed feelings about the whole thing.  Thankfully BIL is planning to drive us home and not drink, and DD will stay overnight with MIL so we don't have to rush to get home.  That will be nice.
Sunday: Church and then I'm not exactly sure what yet.  We have some housework that needs to be done, but the zoo has free admission so I would rather go there with DD.

  • No real big plans at all this weekend.  New pup is getting spayed today so we'll probably just lay low with her to keep her quiet (this should be interesting).  Probably will watch some World Cup hockey, football, and tidy up the house. Our anniversary is Monday but with the party from last week, we're pretty tapped out, so nothing fancy.  We get a free 6" cake from our bakery that did our wedding desserts so I'll pick that up and we'll do a steak dinner on Monday night.
  • Friday: We are attending the Maestro's Ball for the Alabama Symphony tonight.  Should be a good time.

Saturday: No firm plans - probably cleaning and organizing the office

Sunday: Again, no plans.  We are excited to have a low-key weekend!

  • Nothing major going on this weekend.  Tonight we will probably just hang out - grab some dinner out.  Tomorrow DH has a wedding most of the day and I play a wedding that night.  We will probably find something fun to do on Sunday.  I no longer do chores on the weekend since DD is in Kindergarten now.  I'd rather spend quality time with her on her days off.
  • This weekend is my moms group's resale. Set up tonight.  Sale and tear down tomorrow. It will be exhausting but I enjoy it.
  • @julieanne912 Happy early anniversary!! I remember when we got our dog spayed...the first day was actually ok. She's pretty high energy but even she felt wiped out after the surgery the day after. Afterwards it was incredibly tough to keep her from running/jumping/all her normal antics. I have no advice other than good luck!

Thanks!  We figure she'll be pretty quiet tonight and tomorrow, but after that....eesh.  I've already got the inflatable donut collar ready for her so she doesn't have to wear the cone.

H told me she weighed in at 56lbs today...she's a beast!

Our dog is fairly high energy but we adopted her at 18 months so she was no longer a puppy when she got spayed.  Apparently it is a lot rougher physically on dogs/cats when they are older.  She didn't move unless she had to for about 3-4 days and wouldn't even jump up onto the couch or bed (her two favorite places in the house, lol).  Unfortunately, I think all of that was because she was still in a good bit of pain.

  • We got home from vacation yesterday, so we're unpacking and doing laundry. I booked a gym class for 1:30 this afternoon, so that's really my only plan.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be nice out, so we'll probably have a bonfire, which means a grocery and beer run during the day. Since we've already started our Christmas shopping, I'd also like to set our gift budget this weekend.

Sunday H and one of his friends are going out for the football game, and I have another gym class. Nothing particularly exciting this weekend, but I'm OK with it coming off a vacation week.
  • Friday:  Getting a fill for my nails after work.  I hate the time it takes to do that.

Saturday:  Part-time job in the morning.  I'm supposed to be closing this Monday on my new duplex.  So, after finishing our morning work, my H and I are going to swing by that house and make sure it hasn't burnt to the ground or anything else crazy, lol.

Sunday:  Total relaxation day.  At least it should be!

  • Our weekend is looking like it will be a good mix of home time and socializing which is perfect for me!

Friday: Undecided. Potentially working late, maybe getting a jump on the laundry situation before it gets out of hand.

Saturday: house cleaning, grocery shopping, and then a BBQ at a friend's house in the evening.

Sunday: Our town has an annual fair that we have missed every year since we moved here 3 years ago. I am finally making it this time! That's in the morning though and then late afternoon will be hanging out the in-laws for BIL's birthday and some football.
  • We both have been on our Fall break this past week, so it has been fairly active overall. So our weekend plans are to basically lay low and chill.

    Friday: Finish grad school homework

Saturday: DH wants to smoke a pork shoulder, so we may have his family over.

Sunday: Grocery shopping, meal prep for the week and mentally prepare to go back to work.

  • Tonight: Packing for our trip and dropping our dog off at my sisters :( I always hate leaving my dog when we go away.

Saturday: We fly to Punta Cana for a week for BIL's wedding! I'm excited. It should be a fun trip :) We'll be leaving our house at 3 AM to head to the airport and I'll likely be drinking by 5 AM because flying is terrifying, fun times!

Enjoy! That will be fun! I hate flying too.....
  • Friday: grabbing drinks with friends

Saturday: cleaning the house and having a couple friend and their toddler over for dinner.

Sunday: church then NOTHING and it sounds completely glorious. Our states' NFL team plays at noon and I'm already looking forward to the nap that will inevitably occur during it lol.
  • Friday: wfh, pick up DD#2 at school, DD#1 at the bus stop. Homemade pizza for dinner
Saturday: More bathroom tile work, grocery shop, errands, dinner with DH's parents
Sunday: Laundry, meal prep, football, family time, hopefully some sewing

Today - I'm in a six month leadership course and today was the first all day session, so I'm beat.  Not sure what our plans will be with the exception of an early bedtime.

Saturday - I have a wedding, but there's a gap between the ceremony and reception so I'm not making H go to the ceremony, just the reception.

Sunday - No plans.  Maybe do homework from today's class?

  • @Als1982: Must be the season for all day retreats! I just finished up one last weekend and I have a friend doing a six month Leadership Now program and it was all day today too! They can be fun, but really exhausting.

  • Not much going on for the weekend which is nice since we had two trips recently.

Fri-Dentist, work in the garden and then nothing!

Sat-There is a college football game with our local team that pretty much everyone in the city is going to be watching so catching that on TV while doing some multi-tasking.  Then the neighbors are coming over for dinner which will be relaxing since we are keeping the menu simple and low key for just 4 people total.

Sun-We have guest speaker at church, Quentin Love.  He owns Turkey Chop restaurant in Chicago---has anyone heard of it or him?  I think he will be very inspiring.  Then a short road trip to meet girlfriends for some shopping.
