well, i understand the price - they're a fundraiser, after all, and not just a box of cookies.
that being said, i haven't bought a single box in about five years. i'm really not a big fan and much prefer my own cookies to any store-bought ones.

My GS troup was very "Troup Beverly Hills" - we had shopping challenges/badges, our idea of camping was a cabin (no tents), horseback riding & rock climbing were our typical physical sporting badges/activities, we never wore our uniforms or partipated in the lame-ass GS ceremonies.

i wanted to be a girl scout, but wasn't for two reasons:
my mom didn't want to shell out the cash for the uniforms, and
the girls who were in GS at my school were very clique-y. i didn't like that, and their attitudes made me want to punch 'em in the face.
Zero boxes of cookies. Haven't seen any girl scouts around these parts this year.
There wasn't a local GS troop in my area when I was a kid. Instead my school had a weird, watered down Catholic version of the scouts called CYO. I never joined because all the mean girls were in it. And the uniform was hids.
