I just found this board. How crazy! Out of all the years/months they chose my wedding date... I'm also an April 22nd bride! Here's to (almost) nine month's of wedded bliss!

Just saying Hi. I'm an April 06 bride. (April 15th).
I'm April 22, 2006. It almost rained on our wedding. My DH wouldn't let anyone tell me that we were under a tornado watch. But the clouds parted and we stayed dry!
I am due with our baby one month after our first anniversary, so I don't think we will be taking a trip to celebrate...no drinking either. I thought about having our baker recreate our top layer of our wedding cake (we didn't save it) and seeing if I can get the recipes from the caterer on our dinner so I can make it for him.
Anyone else got any great ideas for something you can do that doesn't involve travel or drinking, and can accommodate a very pregnant person?!
I can't believe it's been almost a year already!! :-)
Hello Everyone!
How fun to have a Board for our month and year, and how weird. I suppose it's particularly relevant since we all have our one year anniversaries coming up. I don't visit the Knot very often these days since my advice isn't as relevant.
So, can you believe it's been almost a year since you got married? The year went by so quickly. I think it easy for us because we were engaged for 16 months and had been living together for 3 years already. The only thing that really changed for us since we've been married is the talk about starting a family. We're going to start working on that first baby in the next couple of months.
How has the first year been for you other April 06 brides?
April 29th here too! The weather was pretty nice for us.
Any special plans for your first anniversary?
My anniversary is April 22 too!
I also have no idea what to get my husband for an anniversary gift. I'm not sure what we'll be doing for our anniversary, as we were just out of town this past weekend and probably will be the weekend after as well (for family events). I can't believe I just remembered that I was supposed to call the cake lady back after the wedding and she'd make us an anniversary cake to freeze....I totally forgot about it until just now!
I am getting my husband a punch card for the local baseball team. i am not sure what else. We are going to Las Vegas for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We have decided to wait a couple more years before trying for kids. I have to admite I have a big baby bug!
Can't wait to chat with all the April-06 brides!

I love the puggle...hopefully hopefully a puggle (first choice) or other pup will be my anniversary gift! we close on a house this week and can finally get a dog!
