Re: So who's knocked up?
Congrats!
p.s. did you use a sturdy towel?
12+ weeks... is this a HM baby?
I'm not knocked up yet, but DH and I just bought our first house, so the pitter patter of little ones are not too far off in the distance. I can't wait!
No HM baby. Took about 2 months to get r done, but it worked! I tried to chart but I'm REALLY lazy, so I charted for about a month and then we decided just to have a lot of sex. So that worked out pretty well for us!
And as luck, or not, would have it, I'm due April 8. Fuckk. I have to spend my first year anniversary taking care of a newborn. There go my plans for a minimoon. Oh well :-)
Anyway, congrats again Drunken. You'll be minimooning in your living room with a precious little drunken one to take care of. Meanwhile, you can dream of umbrella drinks and pool boys.
congrats to Mrs P as well on the first house!
I just had my first month off bcp. I'm not charting (agree with drunken, too lazy to do it. And I think it would stress me out). So we aren't really trying, just not preventing either.
And yay Hunter with the BFP!
Just make sure you remind the kid that he or she ruined your first anniversary. You'll need to guilt for when it's time to go into a retirement home
So recently, I started thinking it wouldn't be so bad to have a kid. This turned into "I'd really like to have a kid some day". WTH? Years of not wanting to go through child birth and now it hits? And get this. I'd only want to do it natural and go to a birthing center instead of a hospital. Epidurals scare the schite out of me, and I figure with my history with kidney stones, I could deal with the pain.
I'm not the only one reconsidering either. I told DH a couple of weeks ago that I'm starting to think that it wouldn't be the end of the world if I got pregnant. He agreed and said he had been thinking about it recently.
But since I married a grad student, it will still be a couple of years before we'll be able to do it.
Congrats to all who are expecting!!!!!!!!!
Congrats drunken and hunter! Hang in there Kristin. It is so hard to not have it happen each month.
* Raises my hand too* Congrats everyone...H&H 9 months to ya!
I am going to wait until Sunday to test again to make sure before telling DH.
Me: *pees on stick*
Me: "hey, hubster, does this look like a line to you?"
Him: "kinda, I guess. why, if it is, does that mean you're pregnant?"
Me: "yeah"
Him: "well do another one"
Me: "i don't have another one"
Him: *keys in hand* "let's go!"
45 minutes later, we have literally 10 boxes of tests, "just in case"
Me: "Okay, it looks more like a line this time"
Him: *opening champagne* "YAY!!!"
