So..... Tell me about your living arrangements after the wedding. Apartment, house, sister's basement? haha Smile

DH & I bought a house a month before the wedding. I would never suggest doing that to anyone with sanity. I have never been so frustrated in my life. But we have a beautiful house & being a home owner is great. It's so nice being able to hang things up without a landlord freaking out. haha.

And I'm Emily Smile and DH is Brett and our furry cat-son is Mister Boots.

I'm Meg, and DH is Devin. We are currently renting our house, and are very happy with it. We have a great landlord who pretty much lets us do what ever we like, from painting to putting gardens in. We have 3 daughters, and today was the 1st day of summer vacation!

Hi laides Smile Yes, I'm excited to see home May '09'ers over here too! I love the Nest format and for as much fun as I had planning my wedding, I can honestly say I'm glad its done, haha. Things got crazy towards the end so I'm glad it's done and we can be happy & married.

Meg, I love your daughters' names they are beautiful. Three daughters, your poor husband is in for it hahaha. One of my co-workers has 3 daughters as well and they are pretty good kids. Have fun with summer vacation!! My summer vacation consists of sitting in an office Monday - Friday haha.

Hi Nicole, I'm glad I'm not the only crazy person out there. I was ready to kill my realtor, DH and the sellers. Mainly the sellers. haha. But yes, I'm glad we bought it and I love our home. What kind of dogs do you have?

Hello ladies! We're making the move!

I'm Lori, DH is Joe (I feel like I'm in AA!) We are trying to sell our condo in the city to move out to the burbs and buy a house. The market here is sucking!

We have 3 animals (yes, in 1 small condo!). Our dog is a 2 year old lab named Marley Jane and two cats (sister & brother) Sasha & Sydney

No baby till we are outta that small hell hole!

Hi, I'm Beth. DH (Paul) and I both owned houses before we got engaged, so I moved into his house about a year before the wedding and we rent mine out. We live with our 2 dogs, Preston (Rottweiler-Lab mix) and Russell (Pitbull).

Well even though I've been on the TK May 09 board for over a year, I'll introduce myself. I'm Amy and DH is Garrett. We bought a house the month before our wedding as well, which was definitely crazy! We didn't have time to get much moved in before we got married, so we've spent much of our time afterwards getting settled in. It's definitely great to be a homeowner though, and I can't even imagine how we'd live with less space than what we currently have. We have a lot of stuff apparently!

Hey everyone!

I am Kelly and my DH is Scott. We had been dating for about 13 years before we got married last month and bought our first house together in January 2008. For those of you who moved a month before your wedding... I don't know how you did it! While we have been here for a little over a year, we are still far from being settled - especially with all these new gifts. It looks like we just moved in.

We have two pets - a chocolate lab named Sydney and a cat named Mooshy. I absolutely adore them both.

I was on the May 09 boards a lot a year or so ago and then I became a lurker. I mostly post over on my local board on The Knot, but I am looking forward to being over here.

Hey, I'm so glad to see more people. I'm excited to get to know you all! My local board [Idaho] is about as dead as them come, haha.

I didn't move in untill the day after the wedding. I had my stuff over here and last weekend we did a lot of unpacking & had my parents, grandma and aunt over for dinner. They are impressed Big Smile It scares me because I still have some things at my parents' house. Maybe 4 boxes of stuff, but it's like, umm... I don't miss it, so you guys keep it haha.

DH bought a house about 4 years ago, so I moved into his (our) house the week before the wedding and am still trying to get everything in it's place. I love the feeling of home ownership and that our house is about twice the size of my previous rental!

Hi! I was on the Knot for awhile, too, but I'll jump on the bandwagon and introduce myself again. I'm Erica, DH is Adam and we have a Kerry Blue Terrier named Zoey. She will be 1 year old in July!

Our living situation is a little scattered at the moment. DH has a job that about 4 hours away from our hometown in a Detroit suburb and he has an apartment down there. But, he travels 5 days a week and can technically live anywhere as long as its near an airport, so depending on where I get a job (I just finished my master's) we may or may not live in his apartment. We have moved most of my stuff, and ironically I just got a job interview up north next week. If we do get to move up north, we'll be living in my grandparent's house for the winter (they're snow birds) to save some money to buy a house!

I'm Anna and DH is Stephen. We don't have any pets yet, but we are starting off with plants. Currently we have Mr. Pineapple, Miss Hibiscus, and the Palm Tree family. I'm not as weird as I seem but really love my plants!

This process is a little funny, reintrocuding ourselves, but its great to re-learn who everyone is.

I'm Lisa, DH is Gene. Gene has a 7 year old son, Joe. He's adopted from Korea. He's the cutest thing ever. He's got the thickest country accent. He was the BM at the wedding and he had a blast.

We've been renovating Gene's grandparents house for the past 4 years. We moved into it almost two years ago. I started living there all the time once we were engaged (Mar 2008). I own a townhouse that we are trying to sell.

We have a one year old Border Collie named Woody...

Hi! I'm Amelia & DH is Matt. We bought our home about 3 years ago and couldn't be happier about it. It was crazy stressfull and I don't know how you did it 1 month before your wedding, Emily.

We have 3 furbabies. Franklin (Frank) is a 4 year old Phantom Toy Poodle, Leonidas (Leo) and Lucy are twin Brindle American Bulldog/Shar-Pei/Golden Retrievers.

I've been posting over on TK for about 8 months now, and I'm glad to see most people are moving over here to TN!

Oh my Erica... I thought I could sunburn good! OUCH!!! I hate being sooo pale. I don't mind being pale, but I'm PALE haha.

Buying a house the month before wasn't a mistake per say, but I'd never ever do it agian. Between the sellers being petty, mean & a-holes, my realtor being really rude everytime I'd call to ask a question and the mortgage assistant being a b!tch, I was ready to kill someone. And my poor husband ususally got the brunt of it. But things are better now, I love the house Big Smile

I love border collies Smile I have a feeling Mister Boots would have a heart attack if we bought another cat, much less a dog. He thinks he runs the house. We go along with it.

So to get to Christina, our lovely MOD Big Smile , what are some after wedding stories? And is anyone near Idaho. I feel like such a loner, the Idaho board is dead!

I was on the Knot for 6 or 7 months before the wedding, but like others are doing - I'll reintroduce. I'm Jen and DH is Isaac.

We are right now living in a rental trailer until the middle of July where we will be moving into our new house. DH has already rented for a year and we were looking at buying a house a few months before the wedding. We found our house a week after the wedding and put an offer down on it the beginning of June. So right now we are in the process of repacking a lot of stuff and are looking forward to moving to a much bigger space!

Hi everyone! I'm Jody, DH is Chris. We are currently in the process of buying our first home. We had the home inspection last week and are now moving on and trying to negotiate the price down since the inspector says that all of the roofing needs to be replaced. We really want this house, so we're hoping the homeowner is willing to either fix stuff or reduce the price. If all goes well, we'll be moving in next month.

I'm Hillary and my DH is Dave. We got married on 5/24 and we live in Upstate (western) NY. We have 1 furbaby, a kitty named Sparkle...she was born on the day we got engaged so that is how she got her name!

We are beginning to look at buying a home...it's scary! Taxes are crazy high here compared to other places I've lived.....

I know how you feel with crazy times moving, we got the keys the same weekend I graduated from college and started my new job. Not as big as wedding weekend but definitally hectic! Hello everyone! This is my first post on the nest. I posted periodically on the May 09 board on TK, but spent most of my time posting on my local board.

My DH's name is Thomas and we have been living together in an apartment for about a year now right outside of Raleigh, NC. He brought his two kitties with him - Cassius & Calypso.

We're in the midst of looking for a new place right now. We're going to continue renting, but we're looking for either a single family home or townhome to rent. We'd prefer a single family home of course, but we're trying to reign in our costs (job uncertainty for me since I work for the state).

My name is Jen and my new hubby is Adam. We bought our first house in April 2007. I could not have bought a house and been married at the same time, I am so jealous of you ladies that could do it. Buying a house was way more stressful than getting married.

We adopted a black lab, Lamont, in March 2008. He is truly our child for now and I love our little family.
