Hey ladies - just discovered the local Nest boards! I used to post on the Central PA Knot board all the time. Now I'm pretty much a D&R regular. I live in York, teach seventh grade art, am married, and have two cats. Looking forward to chatting with all of you!
Re: Intro
Hey, I know you- my favorite D&R blogger!
I was wondering if you ever posted over here too. Welcome!
Haha thanks CutesBoots - actually I recognize quite a few names here from D&R! It's fun to see which girls are from the area.
Hi! Welcome to the board!
Sometimes this board is a little quiet--lots of girls have moved over to the Central PA babies board
No babies here yet! Although I hear there's something in the D&R water...lol
Lol! That's okay. I think I'm "that creepy lurker" on other boards sometimes. There are a few national boards that I lurk on sometimes. Every now and again I feel the need to respond to a post even though no one has any idea who I am
I lurk on Money Matters and Cleaning & Organizing a bit and I'm sure they think 'who is that?' when I post lol!
Yeah- I always start my posts with "I'm a lurker, but...". I still end up feeling a little out of place, though
welcome!
I see you live in York and there are several "Yorkies" on here

Me&MrT is hosting the July GTG in York. She's in Disney now, but I'm sure we'll see a post with the details when she gets back.
Hi there! It's so funny that you posted on here today. I saw a post of yours on Pets last night and I recognized your siggy pic from D&R. I saw you lived in York and was curious because I didn't recall seeing that on any of your other posts.
I'm heading back into the classroom this fall after a 7 year hiatus in HR. I'm excited but nervous too. I'll be job sharing a 6th grade math position and acting as academic coach part time.
*Wave back* Hi Kelly! How goes the bathroom?
Thanks Joren - that sounds like fun! Glad it's not in August - I'll be in Australia
Oh wow, what school district? I would love to take time off when we have kids, but the idea kind of freaks me out too
Done except for an inspection of the tub (we're suspicious it isn't in properly), hanging towel racks, and a window shade(which had to be custom. stupid 1960's rancher window sizes!!)
Yay! Almost finished! I have been showering at the gym and their showers are actually pretty nice. Ours is taking longer than expected b/c we couldn't find any fixtures that we liked in stock lol so we had to order them. Now we have to wait for them to come in to do a bunch of stuff. Oh well. That stinks about the tub. What makes you think there is a problem?
I loved my dress! I thought it was simple and classic. (and inexpensive) Great choice
That's exactly why we picked it - the view! I think we only got it b/c we had a Friday wedding. Where did you end up having yours?
I know, it's amazing what you can find in this little city lol.
When you stand in the tub and walk back and forth from faucet to the back of the tub, the whole freaking thing cantilever's slightly and makes this POP sound. It's really loud, and really unnerving. So we're making the factory rep inspect it and/or fix it.
I hear ya on fixtures...that's my towel rack problem. I had to order them and they were a 2-3 week wait!
Hang in there with the gym showers -- at least they're nice!
Ooo - that doesn't sound good at all! I hope they fix it fast for you
We got married at the Stone Mill Inn. We actually looked at it after we visited Lauxmont and decided that it was perfect. I'm not sure what I would have done if Lauxmont had been available.....it would have been a tough decision!?
That's sooo funny! That was our other choice. It was a really tough decision - they have beautiful gardens. In the end the view won out though.
