Hi! I'm Laura and DH is Brock.
We live in the house that I bought a year ago in March. We didn't live together before we were married and I have to say - after living my myself for a year and getting everything in the house like I liked it - and then having a guy come in and want 'guy' stuff incorporated in the house - WOW it was hard to let go and be flexible with it!!! At least we've worked it all out now and are living happily together!
Hi! I know I'm late replying here but I just now found the Nest club board.
I'm Whitney and DH is Joe. We live in Orlando in a rented house with our two dogs and two cats plus my daddy's cat who is staying with us indefinitely. Their names are Callie, Chloe, Zoe, Binx, and Max. We've lived in our house for a year now but I'm having fun rearranging everything to put wedding pictures up.
Is anybody else worried about wanting to put so many wedding pics up that their house may end up looking like a shrine to their wedding?
My husband wants to put up the wedding pictures in the office. That way I can put up (more than) a few and it's not like out in our living room, but I would get to enjoy them all I want. I am ok with that, sometimes when I go into people's houses all I see are wedding pictures and it does look a bit shrine-ish. This way, if people ask to see them , I can bring them in the office. Otherwise, it's not like guests go in there so it won't overwhelm them.
Another latecomer...
I'm Ashley and DH is Kyle. I bought a free-standing condo last year. It was a HUD and I ran out of steam last summer renovating it so our first married project is tiling the fireplace and building a surround for it (this Friday I hope!). Then we're putting wood laminate in our living room (I've been living on a concrete slab for over a year now! We hate it but our dog loves how cool it is).
Kyle got me a boxer mix for my engagement present. She was the lucky one to carry the ring. He named her Princess. And she's finally recovering from eating my meds.
Couldn't find the board until today! I'm Jamie and DH is Jayson (his dad is Jay, he's his son...cute, right?) We have 2 cats, Gus and Abby.
We rent an amazing apartment in Chicago right now. Thankfully it's large (and we got to paint!) and there's 2 decent sized bedrooms, so we'll be here for at least baby #1. I've graduated from law school and he's still in, so the debt load doesn't really give us the opportunity to buy for quite some time

I am Pallie. DH (Andrew) and I rent a condo. We totally wish we could buy but DH is trying to get into med school and we don't want to be stuck with a house while trying to move for residency. Also, owning a home can be a burden at times and one less thing he needs to worry about in med school.
Okay... I'm *really* late on this, but I just found this board today.
My name is Celeste, and I am married to Rick. We bought a condo in April, just a few weeks before our fabulous Vegas wedding. After the wedding we went on a royal caribbean cruise aboard the freedom of the seas.
We have two wonderful furbabies, Dodger (a pom) and Cali (a beagle) and we hope to start ttc very soon. I look forward to getting to know you girls.
