My DH recently lost his job and he has been on a few interviews. So far, things are going well and I think that he will have a couple of offers this week or next. These positions do offer insurance, however, it is really only feasible to have DH on that plan. It is about $700+ per month to add DS and I to the plan!! This is the job that, other than the insurance issue, would be a great job for him.
If he does get an offer, more than likely, I will need to find a separate insurance plan for DS and I. Does anyone have any companies that you would recommend (or not recommend) that is a little more reasonable, but will have decent coverage?
I would appreciate any information that you can give me. Thanks!
Re: health insurance
we are in the process of getting insurance through Cigna. Their approvals take 4-6 weeks (we are on week 5), but their rates were very competitive. I know from past experience with them that they are a pretty good company to have insurance through. I used them when my first child was born and had good coverage and good c/s.
We are hoping to hear back soon, as I've been without health insurance for 1.5 years due to an uninsurance health risk/problem that they have finally cleared for me.
