Anyone make their own crib bedding?
How many yards of fabric did it take to make the bedskirt? TIA!

If you don't get an answer here - you might try checking out the craft board. There are some ladies on there that are a wealth of information.

I just pulled out my pattern and here are the measurements for a straight skirt.
- 1.5 yds for the deck (the part that goes under the mattress and isn't visible)
- two pieces that are 53" x 10.5" (or however long you want your drop to be)
- two pieces that are 29" x 10.5" (or however long you want your drop to be)
You can also add a decorative hem of another kind of fabric to the bottom (which would also add to the drop length), trims, etc. But it really depends on whether your fabric has a repeating pattern, and how long you want your drop to be. But I would say 1.5 yards should be plenty for a straight with 1.5 for the deck and if you want a ruffled just double the widths of the 53" and 29" pieces and purchase 3 yards of that fabric and 1.5 yards for the deck.
