Re: Wednesday Whine

  • I hate that finding preschool/daycare is so hard. I hate that my hours changed so daycare is neccesary. And I hate that we didn't when the lotto so my job is necessary. And I hate this funk that I've been in.
  • Kat-I didn't realize your hours changed. That's way sucky. I'm so sorry!!
  • I'm f*cking tired and all I want to do is go shopping and buy house stuff. Although I did remind myself this morning how blessed I am to have my baby - even if he keeps me up all night.

They actually changed when I came back from maternity leave. I work 5:15-1:45 and DH works 2-11. Right now my supervisor is letting me use vacation to leave 40min early everyday. until the end of the year. So right now I am looking for a place that will take Isabel for preschool till the end of the year and than also take Joaquin in Jan. We don't want to get her comfortable than move her to someplace new.

  • Oh, ok. I remember you saying that when you went back but I guess for some reason I thought it didn't take or something.
  • I'm tired...as always...

I wish I could squeeze more hours into a day, I just have way too much to do!

Sarah's teething feels like it has been going on FOREVER!!  I feel bad for her but it's also rough on us!

My eye is starting to bug me...I hope it's not pink eye...

That's why I started shopping at thrift stores. I don't feel bad shopping and buying pretty things if I only pay $2-$5 dollars for them.

  • I'm just tired of being tired. I really have been lacking any motivation to do anything lately.

Kat~ I hope the childcare stuff works out and yuo guys find a good school.

  • Sounds like we could use a GTG at Glen Ivy :)

Kat - that's a good idea! I never have any luck at those places though.

  • TMI my insides are falling out. Which in a way is a good thing, since I thought I was pregnant for a quick min. I had a little freak out.

OMG I thought I was too. I even took a test.

  • Becki- I didn't at first, but now I usually find at least one of two goodies. On sat I got some great deals-a medium cheese dome and plate, 2 glass cake stands, a small wooden sleigh, 3 decorative plates,a cloche and something else that I can't think of right now, all for $26.

You just reminded me, awhile ago I saw something that made me think of you, it was a tiffany style lamp with mickey on it. I would of got it for L's room but it was little girly.

ETA-I also found some great stuff for J's bday. We are doing a monkey in the jungle theme and I picked up some bamboo mats and a whole mess of tropical leaves for $7

    haha...me three...

I hate when your boss tell you they need to talk to you about something then make you wait several hours before you can find out what it was about! I'm so worried its a bad thing that I cant get anything done until I find out what it is!

Too funny. I've taken 2 this week. I've been nauseous with heartburn and sore boobies

if our 2nd babies were close in age, that would be cool/freaky.

  • Woah! Too many pregnancy scares. Is there something in the water again??
  • My whine is work related.

I hate work right now. It is killing me that I never get to see H. That my manager is trying to slam me with work because my load got light. I hate that I feel like I get singled out around here for chatting too much when everybody and their Mom chats. Just getting annoying.

A triple ditto on this one for me.

  • I am so frickin' bored at my job and my back hurts.

Also, maybe TMI (sorry in advance), but last night H decides he wants to talk about why I don't want to "do it" EVERY night- he thinks I'm not attracted to him! *sigh* I then showed him the poll on the front page of thenest that indicated most couples only "do it" like 2-3x/week. That topic with him is getting on my nerves.

  • When H and I were trying it came to the point that we only did it when we had to. The fun just got sucked right out of it. And then after we had Mary, even though I was cleared it still hurt so we rarely did it. Mary was like 5 months old by the time I was able to do it for fun again.

    My point...you're right. You're normal!

Thank you! I was beginning to think I was crazy... I just don't want it... ever, lol! But I feel bad for him, so I do... if that makes any sense? I just wish he understood where I was coming from- and he just doesn't- he'd do it 6 times / day every day if he could, lol!

Total TMI but a few new tricks & toys will get you out of that funk.

  • My whine is about the wedding I am in this weekend. I may have inherited MOH duties because the real MOH had to go and have a baby 6 days ago (lol, I am actually happy for her). Now I have to write a speech and I can't think of what to say! It's driving me nuts! Plus, I have put off buying a dress and have 2 days left to buy it (tomorrow is the RD, so that leaves today and Friday). I also have to find time to squeeze in a mani & pedi. I need more hours in a day!!!
  • My whine is that I forgot my book at home so I couldn't read on my lunch and I was just getting to a very exciting part last night when I had to go to bed as well.

  • I hate that the only time that MH's aunt ever calls us is when she needs something!

This time she needs us to house her bratty teenagers for 2 weeks while she 'plays house' with her EX-husband (the kids father) when he's visiting the US. ?The kids don't want to see their dad (they despise their dad since he was the one that broke the marriage up).

OH and while they stay with us, I have to take them to school & MH will have to pick them up.?

Seriously? she expects us to take care of them while the ex is staying with her??

  • Ooh that seriously sucks...aren't you supposed to be out of town those 2 weeks?  I can't believe she would ask you to watch THEIR kids for 2 weeks and expect you to shuttle them to/from school, etc...  Does she even compensate you?

Man, I wish we were out of town. I think I'm going to have to put my foot down and tell her not this time.

I don't mind taking them in, b/c with me the don't play the 'I'm entitled since my parents are divorced' card, but the shuttling back and forth is what bugs. ?Well that and the fact that she's kicking her kids out of their home (which is walking distance to their school!) to house the a-hole that messed up their lives! wrong, wrong, wrong!?

Yeah- that sucks... and it can't help the kids feel any better about the situation :( Sorry you're stuck in the middle of this one- that is pretty terrible :(

  • My whine issssssss that money doesn't grow on trees. It always seems like we get things paid off and then BAAM! Something else huge comes along and we're back in the hole again.

I'd like to write a letter to that money pit of a hole

    Dear Money-Pit of a Hole,

Can you get really shallow? Like completely non-existant shallow?

    Thanks,
    Jenn
