My cousin and his wife got married 2 weeks before my H and I (April 2008). I just found out this weekend through Facebook that she is 14 weeks pregnant. As soon as I saw her ultrasound pic, I burst out crying and cried for awhile about it.
My H and I aren't trying yet, but it really made me sad. I want a baby SO bad, but we have decided to wait until this coming spring to begin trying, so we can pay down debt before bringing a baby into our lives.
In the interest of full disclosure, I also don't like my cousin's wife very much. She rubs me the wrong way.
Has anyone else ever felt like this?
Re: BR
Actually...yeah. I get jealous from time to time. We had friends that got engaged at the same time as us but married a year before us (we took a 15 months to plan, they took 5). Anyway...they got pg with their first and I got really jealous. But it turned out that both of us were pg at the same time (her #2 and my #1). I got over it. Don't worry...you will too.
Oh yeah...I've definitely felt that way! I have to close friends who are pg now and while C and I know we don't want anymore, there's still a tinge of jealousy that they are having babies while my "baby" is getting so big.
It was MUCH worse when C and I were trying and couldn't get pg...it seemed like everyone around me was getting pg without even trying and we were going into major debt to do it and it failed anyway.
You're not alone.
