Guys it's not good news Jewelyn
Re: Guys it's not good news Jewelyn
Agreed.
Next weekend is a big semi-annual yard sale in my community. The HOA advertises and about 15-20 houses normally participate. If anybody is interested we can definitely do that- I can work on signs and stuff like that too... or we could turn it into the yard sale / car wash too- there is a Junior College right down the street from me- so we could probably get them to allow us to set up for a car wash there, then at the yard sale we could direct people to it... just random thoughts- not sure if they're good ones though.
I think this is a great idea.
Excellent idea. I will be there.

I am in shock with what I'm reading.
Even though I only know a couple of you all personally, I still feel like in some way I know you all. This is absolutely heartbreaking and my heart aches for her and her family.
Whatever fund is set up, count me in.
Brandy and Amy both called me...I am in shock.
We need to direct Phillip to the Liz Logelin foundation stuff. It's for situations just like this and I know Matt would help out personally. How do I get the info to him?
I don't know how to get the info to him but I think that's a great idea Jenn.
This is his site...looks like you can contact him through it.

I'm far, but I'm not sitting out by the sidelines. I'll post & ask around work for donations.
Irma: Let me know once you have a donation sight/web or whatever ready. That way I can direct the link to family/friends (easier than having it mailed).
This is another great idea.
Ok, so I just talked to my friend who knows Matt personally. He's going to India on the 3rd, but will do what he can for P. Even if the LLF can't help out right away because there is paperwork, Matt will help out. So all I need now is to give her P's info, like an email or phone #.
And I'm willing to do whatever, fundraise or anything to help.
I was just thinking about the Liz Logelin Foundation while I was taking a shower. I was going to email, but it sounds like it's covered.
I would like to put the donation link/website up on my blog when it's ready. Thank you for doing this, Irma. Please let me know if I can help with anything at all.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Ditto.
I sent her nephew Kyle a fb message. I asked for either his or P number. I'm not sure if P is strong enough to contact Matt, but hopefully I hear back soon.

Brandy called me with 2 hours ago and I still can't (or maybe won't) believe it. I am in shock and heartbroken. This is so unfair. Jewels was too sweet and too young and just so excited to be a Mom and now she doesn't get a chance. I can't believe this happened to her. I am so angry. I don't know what happened or if it could've been prevented but somehow...I blame the doctors. Ugh, just so angry and sad. Poor poor Phillip and Gabby.
I am in to help. What city do they live in?
And the first thing that came to mind mind was Matt too. I hope the LLF can help!
Thanks Brandy, as soon as you hear send me the info, or send it to Trish. She'll get it through to Matt.
I'm a little late since I stop in here during the weekends...
I am so very stunned and sadden by this. It seems so very unreal. My heart is broken for Jewels and her family.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help with any of the fundraising suggestions.
I know you don't know who I am, but the news of your loss has spread across the Nest and the Bump and I just had to say how very very sorry I am for your the loss of your fellow Nestie and friend.
We on the December 07 board are also a very tight knit group and lost one of our own just over a year ago, so I understand the grief and shock you are feeling. Please know that we are all thinking of you and praying for her family.
Just piggy-backing on Gina's post...
I'm a Northern California nestie - the story of Jewelyn has reached our board as well. I just wanted to stop by and tell you all how sorry I am for the loss of your friend, and how inspired I am by how you've all come together for her family. You all and Jewelyn's family will be in my thoughts.
