We were all so very blessed to have known the joy, that was Jewelyn. She will always be sushi to many of us, and I personally will miss her tremendously. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter, Gabrielle. She was so in love w/that little girl the day you found out she was expecting.
You were a wonderful husband to her, catching fish & cooking it especially for her. She raved about how lucky she was to have you in her life to care for her & little miss G.
She loved you very much, Phillip. I just know she's over the moon thrilled that you took the time to log on & say a few words to us, her IE girls.
p.s. your nephew is amazing. through it all, he would respond to my fb messages & opened his heart to the days occurances,

I'm not a local either (from NJ), but I heard your story as well. I'm heartbroken over this and can't stop thinking about it. You, your beautiful baby girl, and your families will be in my thoughts and prayers. Just know that you have the support of so many wonderful people across the country.

Phillip, I know you already knew it, but Jewelyn was such a blessed person. There is so much love for her here, now it's here for you and Gabby too. Let us know what we can do. I'm local (Claremont) and would love to help you when you're ready. Just ask!

First of all, let me say that I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you and your little girl. I just wanted to tell you about the Liz Logelin Foundation if you have never heard about it. It is a fund set up by a man named Matt Logelin, and like you, he lost his wife. Liz passed away about 25 hours after his daughter was born. He has since set up a Foundation to help parents that have lost a partner. I do not kow the specifics, but thought I would pass on the information.

I only met Jewel once, at a get together in August, but felt an instant friendship with her. My heart dropped into my stomach when I saw this post; I thought I had finally woken up from a nightmare.
I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for you and your family. Jewelyn was an incredibly special woman and I cannot believe she is really gone.
