I'm a wreck - senate voting on gay marriage
I'm sitting at my desk watching the live senate vote on same-sex marriage. I'm too hormonal to be watching this. I LOVE the senators that really understand what this fight is about. And yet I'm so worried it won't pass.

Re: I'm a wreck - senate voting on gay marriage
I just came on to post something about this and see if you were watching! I am watching too and have my fingers, toes, legs and everything else I can cross crossed for it to pass!!!
I'm watching/listening as I do work. And of course K is actually there taking notes for her dissertation. After every "Aye" vote I've been emailing the senator to thank them for their vote in protecting my wife and I and our child. Well one just sent me a personal reply saying "You're welcome...and congratulations on the baby".
That is awesome.
I REALLY hope it passes..

2010 Highlights
9/26 Adirondack Marathon 5:11:37 (major knee pain, but hey, I finished!)
2011 Races and Results
5/29 Buffalo Marathon (5:25 - not pretty, just trying not to get heatstroke!)
9/25 Adirondack Marathon (take 2!)
One of these days I'll have a good marathon!
NICE! Some of them are genuinely great people.
It makes me so nervous when the marginal members speak and I don't know where they will be... I have been getting butterflies!
Yesterday when I was down there I saw a lot of religious people praying and holding signs. I had to stop myself from snipping at them, "you can't pray away the gay!"
I think I need to make a bumper sticker...
LMAO! I don't do bumper stickers but I think I'd bend the rules for that one!
That's great! I'm crossing everything I can for you! Good luck!!
I am hoping too.
So how slow is slow?
They have to do a slow roll call, because if they didn't everyone would be considered to be voting yes. That won't work for this issue since unfortunately some senators will be voting no.
Slow roll call just means they call each Senator's name separately.
Right...but now I see exactly how slow this could be
Too bad they can't just tell everyone "For" to go to one side of the room, everyone "Against" to go to the other side of the room and then just count heads. It would be much faster!
And, in response to idiot protestors, I wish I had thought of this:
I just got all choked up reading this - and you know I am not a crier!!! Good luck Two and everyone out there who is fighting for their rights!!!
Here is a link to show how each senator voted.

That's awesome! Both you and the Senator. I hope it passes!
