How Many Kids Do You Want?
Re: How Many Kids Do You Want?
I try not to make concrete plans for things like this because I don't know how I'll feel, how finances will be, how easy it will be to conceive, etc.
I'm one of 4 and wanted 4 or 5 or none (I'm an all or nothing kind of person). C wanted 2. Now that his sister is a psycho-freak and his relationship with his parents is totally messed up, he wants at least 3. Now that I'm not so sure how we'll be able to provide for so many kids, I'm thinking more like 3 as well. I'd like to adopt at least 1, but we'll see.
So, we're aiming for 3. I hope I don't only have girls. I hope that our oldest is not a girl. But mostly, I just want healthy children. Lately I feel like that's a tall order anyway.

In an ideal world (ie where finances were not an issue) I'd love 4 or 5. He thinks that's too many.
However, in the real world, I make more money than DH and that will probably be the case for quite some time (ever?). Realistically, we are saying 2-3, but I'm hoping for 3.
We are undecided on if we want kids or not.He does want to have kids but he knows I'm not a 100% sold on the idea, he'd like 3 kids ideally. I think I am part crazy. I always thought that if I was meant to have kids they would find me, like I 100% use to think that a child would be left at my doorstep, I'd find a kid in a public place and it's mother would never come for it and the police would have to relinquish the child to CPS and then I would come and adopt it, and (insert other crazy circumstances here). So I don't want to have kids but I would love to adopt kids and my husband would like a biological child but is okay with not having kids.
Cliff notes version: We are undecided.
