I found it very telling that her wish list included more practical (that's a loose term) things for their home, while his was all Star Trek crap. And I was SHOCKED that they're spending $50 on each other. I figured they'd only spend $5 apiece, and she'd make him some stevia-inflused applescrap dessert freshly regurgitated from her craw.
I'm the toughest person to buy for. My birthday was a month ago, and I still feel quite satisfied with the gift of the Wonderwash. I have wanted a kitchen thermometer
so I can start making cheese, and a black dish drainer that would look
nicer in my kitchen than our gawdy red one. Between those two, I have
spent only $10 on myself.
Am I reading correctly that she picks out and buys her own gifts "from" her H?
Would you use that car mold for crayons, paste and clay THEN use it to bake? Maybe, *maybe* if you could wash it in a hot dishwasher and it came out sparkling. You know she's not. I don't use my kitchen equipment for play time. That's just kinda gross.
Another possibility is a metal pasta strainer instead of our plastic white one that never quite looks clean or a cast iron skillet instead of our aluminum one.
really? you think that's happening because it's plastic, not because you are cleaning with soapnuts and burlap or whatever you sue?
Maybe this is just a weird quirk I have or something, but I'm skeeved by the fact that she wants to bake in something she also plans on making crayons and paper mache in. I'm all for using molds for various things, but one stays for cooking only, the other can have random toxic crap in it.

i also don't understand buying something new and then pouring melted crayons into it i buy thrift store bowls and such for my crafting.
I buy stuff from the dollar store (unless it's paint, paint is from the good art store) but that's where she buys her "real" stuff. I'm in shock she actually spent $24 on something.

Wait a sec. She didn't mention Therese. She DID get Therese something for Xmas, right? She who supplies them with fizzy sugar water should be rewarded for her hard work. Especially since she's family.
Well, crayons are edible, technically. And so is papier mache, if you do homemade glue....
I'm confused as to how her kid knows who Lightning McQueen is. My kid doesn't - and my kid goes out into the world and watches TV (though not TV with kid commercials, usually). Although, I guess I just assumed her kids don't watch TV - is she really just plopping them down in front of my favorite neglect-o-matic while she's off lacto-fermenting her foot fungus?

Her husband can't be bothered to go out and buy her gifts - that would cut into his deep thinking time.
Also, I'm thoroughly scurred at the thought of her making *shudders* CHEESE. It'll probably be Kuus' worst nightmare.
