Poll: Fave Blogs

So the previous post about blogs had me thinking... what is your favorite blog (besides your own of course)?  Post them here!

Re: Poll: Fave Blogs

  • I love photography blogs right now - thinking of starting my own but didn't want to be too cliche (get married, start a blog). Any blog that will show me the SOOC (straight out of the camera) shots and then the after is cool by me. I often feel a lot better knowing that the professionals don't always shoot a perfect image.

  • I just discovered www.foodgawker.com... combo of food and photography... two of my favorites.  I'm officially obsessed and it's been less than 24 hours since I first looked at it.
  • Millie - I could get down with that website - although that would mean I'd have to eat everything I started photographing.

  • i still love the vintageglamblog.com even tho the wedding is over. The creativity and art that people put into their weddings amazes me!!!
Meet Moses, one of my many babies!

  • Ashley - I think I'm going to start photographing everything I cook and bake... I photographed fudge brownie mix in jars I made for gifts this weekend and that may be a first post for me on food gawker if they came out well (I haven't had a chance to look at them yet... things have been so busy - so sad!).  What are some of the photography blogs you're looking at?

  • I still read A Practical Wedding, even though the wedding is over. And since Meg is also married now she has changed her posts somewhat. I guess it appeals to me since I would not consider myself or the H to be "traditional" and I have feminist tendencies lol.

I also follow Heather of roadtotheaisle on her new blog, HeatherDrive. I find her very funny and like to think that if I knew her in real life she would be my friend. OK, that came out a little creepier than I meant it.

Other than that there are several STL photographer's blogs that I follow, mainly for eye candy.  There are also etsy vendors and Weddingbee bloggers whose private blogs I follow, mainly because I'm working on starting my own business and I've gotten a lot out of reading about their experiences. (twigsandhoney.blogspot.com, stinkerpants.com/blog).  I tend to like blogs about what a person does (photographer, designer, etc.) interspersed with posts about their personal life. Yes, I enjoy looking at blogs that have just a person's photos, but it adds so much more when they also write about things that let you get a glimpse of who they are.

  • I really like Bakerella.com. Since I got my mixer for a wedding gift i'm a baking machine and her blog gives me such inspiration.

    Photobucket
  • foolproofdiva.com It's geared towards single women, but its a friend of mine from high school.

thefrisky.com which is just a whole bunch of wonderful gossip and nonsense.

  • Ashley I guess I am cliche.....and others girls who have started blogs ironically after their wedding are cliche?  I don't think starting a blog after getting married is cliche.  I think you just have a million ideas, thoughts, interests left over from planning the biggest event of your life and you still enjoy researching and being artistic and you want to talk about it...which turns into blogging about it.

My fav blogs are about fashion, decorating, and photography:

    http://coutureavenue.blogspot.com/

    http://fashiondaydreams.blogspot.com/

    http://www.jasminestarblog.com/

    http://finishingtoucheventdesign.blogspot.com/

  • I'm being cliche too... I just started a blog. (well I started it awhile ago, but I just made my first post... I'm a slacker). It's a lot about science, so I doubt it will interest many people... but its mrsmicrobiologist.blogspot.com
  • I still follow all of the wedding ones I did before because I like to look at all the pictures of weddings (southern weddings, & snippet&ink). I also follow a friend of my sister who does photography because she is amazing (abiqblog.com). I check some of the ladies on here because I like to see what they are up to: Melissa rocks at DIY stuff and Amy does too so checking theirs gives me ideas about decorating my own house. And Christina cracks me up and she's doing great with her photography so I like looking at hers. What can I say, now that I am unemployed I have a lot of time on my hands....
  • Oooohhh a southern wedding blog????  I need a southern wedding/living bIog!   LOVE Melissa's blog, she is so crafty and classic.....possibly the next Martha Stewart.....
  • Ugh sorry Kristina I know you spell your name with a K not a C...and yes Southern Weddings (swsmag.net) is awesome! Total eye candy. They just started selling the magazine too - awesome. And I agree, Melissa is amazing...she makes me wish I was crafty too.
  • I wish I was crafty :( Who is Melissa and what is her blog??
  • Melissa is mom2one her blog is fromheretozerr.blogspot.com
  • Well, I guess I'm really a marriage cliche- I quit my job and stay at home now.
