It's like not active like it used to be and the whole tone is just different....
Where's the sarcasm? Where are the funny posts? Where are the crazy wedding divas?!!!
Although, I do have to say, it's missing some of its greatest players - Choo, Samantha, Tracy, Normailed... just so weird over there now.

It really funny you posted this b/c I almost posted the exact same thing last night. I was just thinking yesterday that it seems like not very many people make it their "home" board anymore. I don't know about you, but I didn't frequent too many of the other boards, DW was where it was at!
Now it seems like people just pop in for one or two questions. It seems to have lost some of its spunk. The vibe over there is definitely different than it used to be.
The 'veterans' over here will tell you it goes in phases.
You should have seen some of the past dramas and whole board split...blech.
Really? I NEVER even lurk over there so I don't know. I don't even know if any of those girls would remember me lol
Nataleee - those were exactly my thoughts! They aren't friends like we were. We hooked up with those that came before and those that came after... even people's LP have like 10 responses now.... remember when they were like 30?! sometimes even more?! And ya know, when we were planning, the "vets" like Dex used to come pop in on us all the time... remember?
It's just so weird... I hope it's a phase because that board was so much fun and I liked popping in and out, but there's no more talk, just all planning. No more funny, all dry...

What is going to be really weird is how few gals migrate over here after their wedding since the people on the board now aren't interweb friends. I think after our last DW stragglers make their way over, we're probably not going to get any newbs over here, right?
Not that I mind. I'm pretty happy with our gang here...

that is what i was thinking. i also noticed that a lot of people are doing their wedding planning through other TN boards and it is kinda irritating. that is why TK is there.
I lurk over there periodically...but never post since I don't know really know any of the ladies anymore.
Any one else feel like once they made the new format of TK it was harder to find the DW board? Maybe that's why it's not as active and the newbies can't find it?

I really stopped posting when they started switching the board over. And even now that it is finished, I still get a ton of errors and the format stinks. I think that had a huge effect. And yeah the philly thing was gah...
Besides, I've been there for a year and a half....i'm so over wedding planning. Now I think you should all be sainted to have to deal with the same post over and over and over again. I have zero patience...
I'm definitely glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this... I don't think I know anyone except for Alison (other than the girls that hang over here like Cris). But, ya know, I do remember that when we were all getting married over there, we knew all the "elders;" definitely a far cry as to what's going on over there now.
