  • Oooh this sounds fun. But I still don't get it. I'm really bad at these boards, huh :)
  • ooooh!! Haha, I'm a little behind on the lingo!

    Ok here goes:

I've had a lot of caffeine this week. I know the jury's out on it, but imo if there's a chance it's harmful, I don't want to risk it. But this week I couldn't go without it a couple of days! DH is giving me a hard time about it too haha.

  • My low-carb diet (that sucks) is to help with my cycles.....but I have lost 8 lbs which secretly I love.  Totally doesn't make sense as I am hoping to get pregnant and will gain weight, but it still makes me happy.
  • Ok I have another one, it's super super super lame. I totally freaked myself out this morning because I woke up and some of the things I had been feeling are all gone (mostly). So what did I do? I took another test. Just in case. Embarrassed

Jcam, is/was your DH out of work for awhile? Mine is out of work and has been for 14 months. He has done SOOOO much around the house including cooking dinner almost every night, I love it!!!! I'm so happy he got a job offer yesterday, but I will totally miss having a house husband, hahaha!

  • I haven't been feeling very posty lately. It makes me sad, but I still can't muster something to say.

Congrats to your H!  That must be a big relief.

My confession: I eat when I am stressed/nervous/sad and I have been all of the above lately.  It is not good and I know it but I still just keep snacking and hoping it will pass soon.

7 months this time around, 3 1/2 last fall. He worked for 6 months in between. It sucked, and has been the hardest year and a half ever, but in a way it was great too because the place he originally got laid off from sucked and stressed him out beyond belief. Even as crazy tight as money got during this whole experience, he has been ten million times happier!

Anyway, I am totally going to miss the excuse of 'you've been home all day so you are responsible for dinner, you should empty the dishwasher, you clean the bathroom.' I'm glad you can relate to that haha!

And congrats to your husband on the job offer! Doesn't it feel like a weight lifted off your shoulders? When does he start?

He's been laid off 14 months, which by the way was right after we got married so needless to say the first year and a half of a marriage has been a true test for us! I do feel like such an enormous weight has been lifted. I was carrying us through mortgages on two houses and all of the other bills so it was quite stressful! I drank a very large glass of wine last night when we got the offer!

He hasn't accepted yet, but I think he'll start in the next two weeks. I can't wait!

  • I have a co-worker that I CANNOT stand! and apparently other people in the department can't either. He's condescending, doesn't take responsibility for anything, guests even have a problem with him and apparently whined to the boss when I was nominated for colleague of the month (after being there only 5 months) and he's been there for almost two years and has never been nominated.

I don't know if I should say anything. I'd hate to be the only one complaining though.

  • I took a test at like 12 weeks because I felt good that day and was nervous.  Don't worry about it!

Hi Laina: I would definitely say something. I work in HR (the wedding planning isn't full time yet!) and the problem will just get worse if noone does anything about it. I hate condescending people so much. Hang in there !

  • I have one but it's tmi i don't want to post just in case. but i will say that H and I are about to make a financially unwise change and "in these tough economic times", we're being really irresponsible. but neither of us have been this happy or excited in years (not counting wedding & honeymoon) and that might be clouding our vision a little bit, but we can only see good times ahead.

I thought that's what you meant too!!

My FFFC is that I *really* want a baby.  My baby fever has been under control for a good 6 months or so, but recently (I wonder if it's a winter thing, because it was bad last winter too) I just really really REALLY want to be pregnant and have a baby.  The flameful part is that I worry that at some point (not soon, but sometime this year probably), I'll start pressuring T and I really didn't want to do that because I want him to want a baby on his own!

S/O of this - I felt the exact same way a year ago. I did end up making J talk about it more but I know I didn't pressure him into it because trust me no one can make that man do something he doesn't want to, lol. But I have to admit that if I hadn't made him talk about it I don't know if we would have started trying when we did.
