  • Vannakay - I like Liam, Noah and Holden for boys, and Addily, Aubrie and Reese for girls.

I have baby fever too! I say TTC, but I don't see the point in saying that when my ovaries are retarded. Anyhoo:

    Boys:

    Levi...no middle name ye

William Luis (if we do a jr, still up in the air)

    Girls:

    Celeste Marie

    Eva or Ava Kathreen

I like Calypso, but DH shot it down, lol.

All I can remember for now :-)

Girls... I like girl names when you know it's a girl... Addilyn, Aubrie are cute!

I always wanted Emma, Emily, and I like Ava/Eva.    Middle name-Elizabeth after my Granny's or Anna-after the other Granny... or Lorelai =)

I will fight DH to the death to name a daughter Emma Hicks M*****.  Emma is my great-grandmother's name and Hicks was my middle name, my mother's middle name, and has been used in other generations in our family.

There's been an Elizabeth in every generation of my family as well, so if we have 2 daughters I'll work that in.

LOL, with my luck we'll only have boys and I'll never get to use any of those names.

Lmao... Totally didnt even see that one coming,,,,, lol

Lance is my Dad and Brothers middle name. I like the name Carter tho.. mn suggestions?

  • I like Liam, Holden and Addilyn

Our girl name is Piper Maeline (may-leen) which combines my grandma's middle name, Mae, and DH's nana's first name, Pauline.

    I also love Penelope

Boy names are still up in the air, even though I'm convinced we'll have 2 boys and not a girl!

Fletcher Tobias (my pap's middle name)

Phineas Emerson (DH's middle name - as in Emerson, Lake & Palmer lol)

Love these. I love old school names.

  • You all have cute names picked out. Dh and I have picked out quite a few names, but have not told anyone. I don't want anyone stealing our names. Plus, with my psycho/no original thought SIL that I swear stalks me, the internets is not safe with our name choices lol.
  • I like Holden for a boy and Reese for a girl.

DH is James Leon B**** II so he want's to name our first boy
James Leon B**** III and call him.........Bullet(with an "et" not "it")
this was his Grandpa's name and he want's our poor child to be called a projectile also. As you can see I'm not quite convinced yet. But I told him if he gets Bullet for our boy I get
    Velvet Marie B****
I know this is silly but one of my favorite movies when I was a little girl was National Velvet, and in that movie the girls name was Velvet B****, the Marie is DH's Grans middle name.
We also have come up with another girls name
    Chloe Noel B****
Chloe because DH knows of 2 Chloes that look like me and he likes the name, I like it too. And Noel because it's DH's middle name backwards.

We haven't really talked about anymore boy names, I guess I can't get past Bullet, but I like

    Tanner
    or
    Zachary

    WOW that was long...sorry!!

  • Dh and I are having such a hard time with this. We wanted to use more traditional classic names but even those are super popular now. We are trying to avoid the top 40 most popular names from the social security list. The names I like (and are family names) are Adele Evelyn Charolette Lydia Mary John Samuel or samantha Steven Casimir It diesnt help that dh is a jon so we won't use john as a first name and the nickname for casimir is casey but dh's exwife left and moved in with a guy named casey. Ugh. We hate trendy names because we aren't "fad" type people. We found a fancy name book and quickly realized it was a book of names we will never use because they are all the weird made up and trendy names. Were trying to stick with the classics or some derivative of that.

    I LOVE this!!

The only thing is I would be afraid we'd call her Pen or Penny and that's what we call the cat,(Penny is the cat's name)...lol

  • What are some of the names you DO NOT LIKE!

  • Siliva.... Dh likes this because it's the name of a car in Japan that he likes. I'm really not a fan of the name.

And I'm with softskate I'm really not into the "fad" names.

like anything with aiden in it. We have so many boys in our church with a name similar to it... and all under the age of 4.

    Aiden
    Caden (2)
    Hayden (2)
it can get confusing in the nursary.

  • Probably James for a boy. It's my dad's name and his dad's name. Maybe Shamus instead. For a girl, Maeve is my favorite but my cousin already used it and I liked having a somewhat unqiue name growing up. We both like Fern. I also like Eliza, Joan, Ainslie and Willa.
  • imagevannakay:

What are some of the names you DO NOT LIKE!

ANY name where 500 other kids in the class would have the same/similar! Because I am a victim of this! Or uncommon spellings of a common name, of which I am also a victim.

And celebrity baby name copies/fad movie character names

  • VannaKay-  I LOVE Noah Johan for a boy!

Hubby and I have only picked out first names so far.

    Sophia for a girl.

    Joseph for a boy.

I would love to do Sophia Klara  (Klara is my mom's name) but not sure if hubby likes it or not.

I love the name Willa!  And Abraham too!

  • My baby girl name has always been Eva Amelia.  Eva is my grandmother's middle name and Amelia is DH's grandmothers name.  I had actually always loved Amelia, just a good coincidence that it happened to be DH's grandmas name.

For boys I have loved Max forever!!!!  Never really settled on a middle name until I met DH.  He is a twin and his brothers name is Tyrone so that will be the boy middle name.  Maximus Tyrone.  I have said it before and I'll say it again, there is a reason God is giving us a girl!

I pretty much traditional names.  I am not crazy at all about names with lots of "y"s for no reason (there are other vowels you know), or names that are purposefully mispelled to be "different".  When I was little my name was considered unique, and I spent the first 15 years of my life spelling it.  I find no reason to do that to someone named Jennifer because you wanted to be different and spell it Jenyfer.

  • I hate any name that is a fruit or city. No, Houston is not a good name for your son, sorry! Esp if that's where he was conceived....poor child.

Also, I would never name my child a name of a person I dislike. For example, I used to love the name Andrea, but then I met a girl in college that was a massive psycho b!tch with the name. I will forever associate the name with that person and would never name my child that.

I also do not like popular/fad names. I want my child to have a fairly unique name that isn't weird or trendy.

  • OMG...I seriously have a million names picked out. DH and I havent really talked to much about it yet, as we are a ways off from starting a family but here are some names I/we like

    Boys:

Tallen (thats my little bros name and we love that name)

    Carter (DH's uncles name)

Drake (this just came to me last night and I love it)

Brock (I love this name, but I feel like with this name his only choice growing up would to be the H.S. jock bully, lol)

    Girls:

Edith ( I love old school names)

    Sophia

Kirah (First part of my name, last part of DH's name)

for a middle name I want to work Antoinette in there, that was my Gma's name.

  • imageAgentmysterycat@hotmail.com:

    Love!

There is a girl on the bump who has a quote in her siggy that says "I am going to name my baby Vag, because that's where it was conceived".  Cracks me up every time I see it.

    Omg!! this is too funny!

I think destinationnames are crazy... Houston, Denver, Dallas, Brooklyn( kinna cute tho)

I also go crazy when I hear the names:

Jackson/Jaxon (Idk why its not that bad)

    Mason

    Kaden, Bayden, Hayden, Aiden

Flower names kinna get me too....I mean they are pretty but used often! But I must say I love Lilly

  • So many cute names!

Ours are Julia Marie and Andrew Raul (N's middle name). And yes, if we have one of each we will have Julia and Andrew. So if we have more than 2, we will just start using Von Trapp family kid names for the rest of them. . .:P

  • All family names...

    Girls:
    Iris
    Virginia
    Iva

    Boys:
    Harris
    Luther
    Leo
    Forde
    Hugo

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I don't think we'll ever use these, but here are some we've tossed around;

Brooklyn (We will use Brooke, if we have another girl)
    Brock (like agent!)
    Ty
    Hunter (like rachel!)

And growing up I always liked:

    Athena
    Prairie Dawn (sesame street!)
    Jacob (Jake)
    Caleb
    Jack
    Jessica

And Cassie...I'm used to seeing Seamus... so when I saw Shamus, I thought:

Lol, if DH had his way, we'd be naming our children after Transformers or Star Trek characters...Optimus Prime, get your butt back in here...oy!

I love Chloe! I also like Callie (maybe in lieu of Calypso).

I ruled out his dad's name. DH is half Puerto Rican, and a non-Spanish speaking Jorge isn't going to work, lol.

The only family name I want to pass on (besides having a jr if we have boys) is Marie - common, I know but its also a family name (middle name for myself, my mom, a great-grandma and so forth).

I also like Jocelyn (Jossilyn, can't spell tonight, lol).

    DH likes Megan, Samantha (ehh).
