  • $50/month for the ring
  • Necon (I think it is a generic brand) and it is $10/month.

  • $5 for Oscilla generic for Yasmin. Yasmin was $60 under my insurance.

I pay $40/month for the NuvaRing.

Ask about the generic version of Ortho Tricyclen Low if that's what you're interested in.  Anything generic should be substantially cheaper.

However, the patch and ring don't have generics yet.  Maybe someday soon.

I know that my Ortho Tricyclen Lo genetric (Tri-Lo-Sprintec) is no longer available at my Target pharmacy. So now I have to get the regular kind. But my co pay is 9 bucks.

That is strange, because I use tri-sprintec-- the generic version of ortho. I get it at target and it's $5. They never told me that they are removing it from the shelf.

  • From the pharmacy, with insurance it was $50/month for Ortho-tricyclen. $30 for generic, but that made me extra moody and emotional. I checked out the county clinic and it's $75 for the yearly exam and they give me 6-7 months of pills (I've since switched to Micronor (minipill) and it's the same deal). Then it's $25 total for 6 more months of pills. My company had to drop health insurance, so I'm glad I found out about the clinic. Something wrong with insurance program if work was paying $200/month or so for insurance and with that, my co-pay for BC was $50/month = $3000/yr where I can get the same checkup and BC from the clinic for $100/yr.

  • $12 with insurance, $30 without. I'm on Lutera, the generic version of Alesse.
  • I have the IUD and insurance covered 100% of it's insertion so I don't pay anything.  When I was on BC before that (ortho tricyclin generic) I paid $3/mo.
