I was thinking about this today- I started on the knot in March of 05- so this month is FIVE years that this group of websites has been a daily addiction...

I think I need a hobby...LOL

I started right after we got engaged, so January of 2004, so over 6 years now! I was on the CT board a lot and even on the Phoenix board when we thought we'd be moving out there.

I believe I started around the same time as you abba. I remember my first GTG was at TGI Friday's. There were 5 of us - Arcticfox was one of them - I want to say it was in the winter months, maybe December?

Great new siggy picture!!

I started reading the Knot boards well before I met K or was engaged. Back home I had a side job as a wedding consultant so I found the Knot to be useful at times. That would have been 2004 ish ??

Then I joined The Knot as an engaged person in 2006. I switched screen names when I moved to The Nest...about 2 years ago I think.

I never knew about the message boards on theknot, until after the fact, but I was using the site for inspiration/pictures, etc...when I started planning my wedding back in May of 2006.

Finally found out about the message boards and signed up after I was married in July 2007.

So...the sites have been part of my life for almost 4 years.

I started using the Knot to wedding plan way back in 2004 after I got engaged. I didn't know about the message boards until I came to the Nest in 2006 though.

I have been Nesting since June of 2005 so close to 5 years! I was on the knot before that, for maybe a year.

Back when I started Nesting, this place was a GHOST TOWN! This board had like one post a week, if even! I remember SUwife was here and so was ArcticFox

Well I can remember being on theknot website when I was still in college... living in a dorm.. so I would say it was probably 02?? But I didn't start posting on the boards here (I don't think?) until after I got engaged in Oct 04..

I started on the knot back in 2006 when I got engaged. Ive been Nesting sicne I got married in 2007 but stopped for a while due to time constraints but here I am back again. Ive never been able to make it to any GTG but am hoping ot make the next one.

I used the knot for my engagement, so 2006-2007. I never used the message boards. Then our married life has been such a whirlwind that I never even used the nest as a resource. My sister got pregnant and loved the message boards, so when DH and I started trying this past fall I started using the bump boards.

Me too - I got engaged in August 2003, Knotted until probably 2005 or so, then took some time off. Got back into the Nest around 2008.

I started on the knot in March of 2007 when I got engaged. I moved over to the nest after my Oct. 2008 wedding. This board is the first I check on a daily basis. I wish I could nest more but I can't at work ( I actually got spoken to for using district internet for going to the nest...ooops) I just got the iphone so I can from work now but stupid me can't figure out how to respond to posts yet.

I signed up as soon as we started to discuss wedding plans, probably March 2007. I read the boards but wouldn't post until after we got engaged in May 2007. So, about three years!

Speaking of the knot, I was over there this weekend and it was so quiet and dead, I was really surprised, nothing like when I was over there.

I think around August 2004? It was just before we got engaged.... I remember when the Nest started! I was over on the OH boards then. There was a schism on that board in December 2007, so I left then, but came back on Upstate NY with a new name last spring when DH interviewed out here.

It's says I joined 8/2003 but I don't think I really posted and became part of the upstate board until 2004. My first GTG consisted of 4 Albany people.
