Well remember when I said
"Don't drink the Oct. 09 water" after we found out Juangela was pg. Well guess what? I found out over the weekend that my husband and I are expecting as well. I am about 5 1/2 weeks and have morning sickness already.
So who's next?
Re: Well remember when I said
Congratulations!!
I will now be drinking exclusively from a hip flask to avoid said water.

Nicole: OMG, you and Angela are gonna be marms! I'll be nice. Congrats! (also, Angela, since you never got an official one from me since it seemed like the announcement was in the unsure stage: Congrats as well
Me three, there will be no babies in our house any time soon
Congrats, Nicole! That's awesome.

Wow! Babies everywhere!!!! I'll admit it - I was pretty sure I was pregnant earlier this week, but two tests said I was not. Which is fine, for now!
Congrats, Nicole!!!!
Congratulations on your news! My best friend experienced pregnancy sickness (never just morning sickness) right until she gave birth to her son. I hope you don't have that experience. Seems like now we can have a little mini Bump section on our Oct. 09 board.
I'll stick to drinking anything BUT water! Can I join into the margarita party?
CONGRATS!!! I'm so excited for you two! Are there enough of us to start a club yet?
We need to figure out how to make non-alcoholic margaritas so we can stay in this party, though.

Me too!!! I'll just stick to these
No babies wanted here.
Congratulations though!! You will be wonderful parents!!
Thanks for all of your kind words! And yes, we definitely need some virgin margaritas for us preggo girls.
FWIW, I took a pg test a week and a half ago and it was negative so I didn;t think I was until my monthly visitor was over a week late. And then I took another test and it ended up being positive.
In an attempt to "cure" my morning sickness I have been eating saltines and drinking diet ginger ale. Neither are working.
My sister had morning sickness the full time she was pregnant, and considers herself an expert. She gives out this advice:
1) Peppermint, whether via hard peppermint candies or gum, helps alleviate nausea.
2) Always have something in your stomach, no matter how much you don't want to. (Saltines continuously throughout the day is a good idea.)
3) Let fizzy sodas go flat.
Hope that helps!
I eat pretty much constantly. For some reason, I have been in love with pretzels, so I bought a huge bucket at costco and carry some with me at all times so the minute I start to feel queasy I can eat some. Some of the girls on the first tri board swear by coke.
Luckily my nausea has been getting better, but now the heartburn is kicking in. Apparently my mom lived in tums when she was pg for me and my little brother...I bought the biggest bottle they had a CVS and carry it with me everywhere!

My Blog!
Oh wow, congratulations! That's so exciting for both of you!
And congrats to Juangela as well!
I remember my School Nurse in Elementary School would give us Coca Cola syrup if we had an upset stomach..it always helped, but it tasted GROSS!!
Congratulations! Baby news is always exciting! Have you told family yet or are you waiting until you are a little futher along?
We aren't TTC, but we are charting now and my husband keeps rubbing my belly saying he has good swimmers....dork. So if it happens, it happens and we will welcome the news.
We haven't told the family yet. My first appointment is coming soon and we are going to tell them after that.
I'm late but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY BLOG!
My best friend, who I mentioned in my earlier response, drank McDonald's Coke like it was going out of style. That was the only thing that calmed her. Truly interesting part about that is the fact she NEVER drinks regular soda...she only drinks diet. I'm not really sure how she discovered that remedy, but it might be worth trying something a little untraditional to get through morning sickness. Good luck!
Me too!! Wait, I don't drink... I'll just drink Diet Coke exclusively!
I prefer one of those hard hat helmets with a beer on each side and a handy dandy tube.....
Congrats again Nicole! Don't worry....I'll drink your margaritas for you....
Excited for you friend!
