Hello all,
I've been lurking for a little bit, but curiosity is getting the best of me so I have to ask. I'm getting married soon; I'm a virgin, my future husband is not. (I'm not going to get into all of that as there are other posts covering the subject.) My question is this: I've seen several different places where people talk about "leaking" after sex, even hours later. What exactly do you mean?
Re: Virgin question...
Question, couldn't you ask your FI?
But yes, Geek is right.
Or, in this case. what goes in must come out?
As you probably know, when a man orgasms, he ejaculates. If he ejaculates inside of your vagina, it will trickle back out of you, similar to a very fluid period. Since your vaginal opening can't close like Tupperware, it trickles out. When you are lying flat, it will just sort of ooze out making the oft referenced "wet spot". When you first stand up, it may gush out.
There are simple solutions: keep a stack of washcloths by the bed to tuck between your legs when you are done. Mine are a dark red in color for days when I have my period. Just throw them in the wash after you are done. You can also keep a roll of paper towels.
After you use the restroom after sex (and you should do so to prevent UTIs) most of it will come out. You can deal with any leftovers by wearing panty liners or a couple of folds of toilet paper in your underwear.
:blink blink:
Are you serious?
I'm betting that your mom was one of those moms who refused to sign the permission slip to attend sex education in MS. You got to sit in the library reading while the rest of the class learned about basic reproduction.
Serious questions - how old are you? And are you aware of what exactly happens during sex?
This made me LOL and gave me a nasty image, all at once! hahah
This exactly.
And when the time to sign the permission slips came, her mother went "My daughter is tooo young to hear such talk. I will take care of this at home" after which....nothing happened.
Srsly, your vagina can only hold so much. Hence the leakage.
You probably never heard of "the wet spot," either.
Um... If he doesnt wear a condom then you will leak. Since your FI isn't a virgin why dont you ask him questions?
Im sure he knows.
um, so it's the government's responsibility to teach sex, not your parents'? Cause I'd be blaming them a lot more before I go off about what you learned in school........
I had very comprehensive sex ed at my all-girls Catholic high school back in the mid-80's. It covered the female menstrual cycle, male anatomy, exactly how each kind of birth control worked (hormonal, barrier, permanent) and sexually transmitted diseases. And this was in the days before AIDS. Very clear, concise and to the point.
On the last day of the three weeks, Sister Cora came in and told us the Catholic Church's position on pre-marital sex.
But even with all of that information, no one covered how to prevent UTI's or wet spots or other information that is more practice than prevention. I think it is a reasonable question to ask. Plus, depending how truly intimate her FI was with his previous lovers, he may not have really dealt with/understood the day-to-realities of being the girl in a sexual relationship.
I also attended sex education, and they never covered anything about wet spots or ejaculate leaking out of you after. I really don't think this was an unreasonable or stupid question and the snarky answers were really lame.
The tupperware comment however, was hilarious.
Agreed.
I also never knew about leakage or "the wet spot" before we got married and started having sex, and I certainly wasn't ignorant of the mechanics. I wasn't surprised by it because, well, it makes sense, but it's not something that ever came up in conversation or even crossed my mind when I thought about sex.
Why do you ladies have to be such asses to someone asking a genuine question. Geez. Until one is in the situation, most don't even think about what happens afterward. What are the experiences most have to go on? Movies? They sure don't have stacks of washclothes or wetspots in movies. Just give her the answer and get off her back. Geez.
Again...those are not the basics of sex. They are a minor annoyance of sex, but I didn't see anything in her post to indicate that she didn't know the mechanics of sex. Get off your horse and quit being a B.
Good lord, I don't understand what was so wrong with this question. If you've never had sex before, there will be a lot of things, such as leakage, you will learn as you go. I doesn't matter what your age is. I went through sex ed, my parents gave me the basic speeches, but no one certainly ever mentioned that his ejaculation would leak out of me afterwards and I would've been 100% emabarrassed if my parents had mentioned it.
Have fun exploring with your new husband! It will bring you much closer together.
You OBVIOUSLY aren't doing your Kegels. *does hair flip*
Pretty sure that's what this board is here for...
Even women who are sexually active may not have given any thought to leakage until they have a serious partner with whom they don't use condoms. Is it a question that she could have easily googled? Yes. Is it something that was wrong to post here? No.
Not quite sure how "fooling around" is defined, but not everyone does more than pecks on the lips. My FI and I don't.
As for the OP's question, the answer was something I've never seen before TK either. My friends have never really had graphic sexual convos, etc. I took sex ed (both public middle school, and Catholic high school) and this was never covered. As for googling it, I personally (speaking for myself here) don't think its a good idea to do a random search for sexual content on the internet because one never knows what will pop up. Not everyone wants to take a chance on seeing some weird video or w/e.
