The original post Katie is talking about says I'm getting tired of prefolds. I mean I'm getting tired of the snappis and additional covers. We also have fitteds, and I would prefer to use those all the time, but we only have 8 and I can't justify washing only 8 diapers per load...
Anyways, we want to get OS, so either pockets or AIO. So far I'm thinking BG organic and Rocky Mountain Diapers, but honestly who knows. I just want an easier option, I guess.
Katie, do you have OS diapers? Do you have a fave?
I have BG 3.0 (not organic), Happy Heiny, and FuzziBunz for OS. They are all pockets. The only reason I have them is her daycare uses them (and Matt on the weekends). I hate unstuffing them but you have to in order to wash them. Of the three kinds I have I like BGs the best. Happy Heiny has a really big opening in the back and you have to tuck it in when putting the dipe on or it will wick. FuzziBunz only come in snaps, I dont feel like a get a good fit with snaps. Matt doesnt have a favorite, as long as he doesnt have to use the snappi he is happy. We also have fitteds and like them a lot, but you said you didnt want to worry about covers. Once Evan is in a medium cover it will last for a long time.
Your other choice is AIOs which you can get in OS but they take a really really long time to dry. I have 3 from a WAHM and they go through the dryer three times before they are dry. I will be happy when I can put them out on the line to dry.
I really like prefolds and for the money there is nothing better. I also like that I can change the absorbency easily and can take them off her without touch a pee soaked liner. The snappi can get annoying espically at night in the dark but I can change a prefold faster than a pocket.
