I think we really should do this. I know we've talked about it before, but we should make this happen.
I say central location on the US to make a as short a trip as possible for everyone. Or a location that has several nesties in it already that would be able to participate.
Thoughts?
Re: April 08 GTG
YES. yes, yes, yes.
elisa, i kid you not, after just looking at your family pics on facebook, i seriously considered hopping on a plane to texas to come hang out with you. does that make me a stalker? lol.
We need to do it before people start popping out babies 2 & 3. lol
I am in!!!!!
Tiff, I PPH you! Thank you for your sweet words and comments. And come by anytime, and bring that adorable Mia with you! You can stalk me anytime.
But I am serious! I want this to happen. And I will be there, with Britton. If I can get Lewis to go, even better, but I'm prepared to leave him at home, too.
I will come without Art. I will be there as long as I am not 8-9 months pregnant....so lets get planning. lol
Elisa would you be willing to do a little sleuthing on what cities are commonly inexpensive to fly in and out of? I know Las Vegas is one... but for obvious reasons probably not a cheap place overall. What's a city that's fun and in the center of the states? KC, MO? I'd be cool with that. Mmmm bbq!
I think we could make Vegas a relatively cheap trip. We went there on our HM and it wasn't too costly!
By the way, I'm in!
My blog
Married bio
I'd be down. Inexpensive would be good too
Steve may or may not come. I'll leave that one up to him provided we're bring them, but if we're not I'm ok leaving him at home too.
I would seriously love to go! But location is key and keeping it inexpensive is the next factor for everyone as well.
What destination would everyone love to check out?
Beck, I don't mind if you put it together. I think the two most importat factors are money and ease of getting to location. While I think most people would like Vegas, I don't think it's the ideal location. I was thinking something more subtle, like KC or STL. Or even the Chicago burbs. The the WI girls can drive, and the Ohio, KY, and MN girls can drive or fly a short hopper. If we stay in the burbs, I think it will be cheaper. My goal is to get as many of us as possible to attend.
Maybe we can get a huge house on the lake in WI or something. Or even a house in Lake of the Ozarks. What is a good estimate of the amount everyone wants to stay at or under? Including travel, food, lodging...
And I def think a summer/ weekend thing is the way we are going to get more people to come.
I was surfing VRBO.com and was just amazed at what there is out there.
Feeback wanted and welcome!
Personally, I will be in STL on the weekend of June 12th so I would LOVE to squeeze in a GTG then.
This sounds like a plan to me!!
where would be the cheapest to fly into? chicago?
I think VRBO could be a good option if we can get a big enough place. August is the best month for me.
I'm down with Chicago - that's an easy enough flight from NYC.
I vote for no boys
July is out for me. August or September would be best for me.
Elisa I think a house would be awesome! I think you are on good track. Let me know if you need any help.
That sounds awesome!
However, my ONLY free weekend (from May-Sept) is August 13-15. If it works out, I'd love to make it. If not, I hope to meet lots of you at Brit's wedding!
margaritas in mexico
Yeah, I vote no holiday weekends.
