  • Just watching How I met your mother. Since it's summer I'm not in school, so I will be around lots more!
  • Just got home!  Had to drive 20 miles to drop off an audio book at a Cracker Barrel and had a delicious dinner.

i felt sick most of the day, so i'm looking forward to sleeping soon.

  • I think the slowness is because there aren't very many really active posters.

  • Panda are you in Miami now? I have a friend who is going down there to visit her family this coming weekend. I'm sooooo jealous of the beach!
  • RE: last week, we're boring not busy.  Haha.

Yes!  We are finally settled in Miami.  I heard today they might close the beach for the whole summer because of the oil.  This is what the teller at the bank said, if the currents change it can be pulled right up the coast and then they'd have to close the beaches.  I'm not a beach person, so eh, but I think there would be a lot of pissed off people.

I'm not sure it's true though, this teller didn't seem to up on the current news.

  • omg I saw a thing today that they're going to try to contain the oil using trash - that sounds like an awful idea! Not only are we going to let the oil keep coming out of the rig, but we'll throw trash in our ocean.
  • I think what we need are really, really big tampons.

  • bahahahaha. Did you see they tried to pull a simpsons movie sort of thing and put a giant bubble over it?!
  • No I didn't see the bubble thing.  I haven't watched the news in a couple days, so I guess I"m not better than the bank teller :(  I'll catch the local at 10.

When I was young I thought it would be cool to put a bubble over the whole earth so we could run the AC and climate control Earth.  But now I think that would screw us up more than global warming!

  • i would think that if they did have to close the beaches that it would severely impact the local economy. i bet a ton of those businesses rely on the surge of tourists there to hit the beach.

I like the original post secrets more than KPS. I am addicted to texts from last night lol. I love to read drunken stupid things.

  • Augh I hate the heat, it always makes me feel sick no matter how hydrated I am.

And yes, KPS and NPS and BPS, some of them are just so ridiculous.  I stopped reading for a couple days and then had to go back.

I'm glad they put a stop to copying other people's "secrets" and writing over them.  That was dumb.

ugh, you're not gonna like Miami in the summer - I hope where you're living has great AC. I love the Georgia summer. I'm originally from Western, MD so the heat is very welcomed
  • Yay! I remembered! Hi ladies!
  • did you say there were bump post secrets? What's the website?! I think those would be good, yet sorta tragic.
  • Hey Shazzie, how are you?

  • Hi Shannon!!
  • I know it's already hot here during the day.  Our apt is teeny tiny (we could rent a whole house in GA for the same price!) and the AC is weird, but it works.  It's in the middle of the apt in a little closet and then has two vents on either side, one out to the living room/kitchen which is one room and one vent to the bedroom.

We're hoping to make a semi-permanant move to GA this winter but it depends on how his internships are scheduled.

Really?!?  Where in georgia?! The living here is crazy cheap - part of our reason for moving. We bought our house and the mortgage is cheaper than our rent was in D.C.

  • Hi Shazzie!

The bump one is the same web address, just substitute bump for knot.

And we would be in 'burb on Atlanta.  I heard that the areas are nicer in the North, but we would be looking for places in the South because it makes the commute easier?  This is what I hear.  I was googling rentals for fun the other day.  We would be there for 2 years and we could actually make a MOVE and get all my crap out of my parents house.
