Re: Thursday randoms
When my MIL was diagnosed, I was afraid of the same thing. For us, it was easy to walk in and see her. She was upbeat and ready for treatment. Are you close enough to your friend to offer to take her wig shopping? That was something my MIL enjoyed with her sister. They made a day of it and while it wasn't the happiest of occasions, it was a memory they both cherish.
Also, I don't think crying together is a bad thing. Cancer sucks.
I know. I don't get peace and quiet. I pump on the couch with Mere playing on the floor haha. I am super determined to make it to the same goal: no formula for 12 months. I'm sad that I didn't get to BF, but so happy that pumping is working out. Congrats on making it that long!!
I know how you feel. Or at least just to 5:00.
I am eating some Greek yogurt that is past the expiration date. It tastes a little weird and I can't decide if it's bad or if it's just the Greek yogurt taste. Someone once told me that yogurt stays good for a very long time if it remains sealed.
We'll see how tough my gut is, I guess.
Good luck Suze. I literally can't eat anything even near it's expiration date. I know that is irrational, but it's just how I am. I must have been scarred by something from my childhood.
I had a mold issue with one of my greek yogurts - Chobani I believe. I emailed them the info and they sent some free vouchers. Mine was obvious mold though and I had just bought the yogurt the previous day.
I listened to a story some time ago about the myths of expiration dates. Basically, they're okay to watch, but if it smells and looks fine it probably is. The same thing applies the other way - if it smells bad and looks nasty but it hasn't reached the expiration date yet, you probably shouldn't eat it.
Are you coming out tonight?
No visible mold. It was Stonyfield Oikos organic and it was in my fridge for awhile.
I'm with you Molly, today feels so much like it should be Friday. I keep saying "What day is it today?"
