Level 1 Day 1: Check!
Now off to spring clean my kitchen
Re: Shred days 1-10
Day 1 - level 1 - done.
Ho-lee-crap. Saying it kicked my butt is putting it mildly. I had to stop about a third of the way through because I thought I was going to throw up and that turned into me almost passing out, I mean my vision and hearing were gone. Scary. I had to lay down for ten minutes, but then I got up and did the rest of the work out.
How embarrassing that I am that out of shape.
I did the moves the best I could, but especially for the part where you squat and bring the weights out in front of you, I felt like I couldn't line my body up right.
I hope it gets better.

It will get better. On that note, I think you did the right thing by laying down. I've never been a fan of her "If you want to work out for 20 minutes a day, you have to push yourself" philosophy. I think pushing yourself is good, but giving yourself a break if you need it is good too. If you ever watch P90X tony stresses to pause the video and come back in a few seconds after you've gotten a drink and lowered your heart rate. I like his philosophy better
That being said, I'm in pretty good shape and still can't do all of the side lunges with lateral raises, it's just an awkward move. I also have trouble with the squat and shoulder press after push ups, but I think that's because I do my pushups the real way, so my shoulders just feel like giving out after that. In a few days, you'll be doing so much better, the body is amazingly adaptive! Keep it up!!

Level 1 Day 1: Complete!
whoa, that was a lot better of a workout than I was expecting! I guess I've always been athletic, so when I hear level 1 I dont take it too seriously...but I liked it!
Even though I'm a little overweight, I didnt think I would have much trouble with it, but some of the moves were difficult and burned (in the good way!).
I'm really looking forward to it getting easier, adn then moving onto level 2 for some more butt kicking!

Level 1 Day 2: Complete
I woke up this morning with sore biceps, shoulders, and whatever those muscles are under your arm pits - I was surprised since I'm only using 5 lbs. Wooohooo for sore muscles!
I did the Shred a couple of times when it was On Demand, and it kicked my asss! I really want to do this with y'all, but am working 70 hour weeks until I leave for HI to visit my bff on June 2nd. Maybe I'll just try and do it 3 times a week or something....
Where did everyone get the DVDs and for how much?

EDD October 10, 2013
I got mine at Walmart for $9! I think Panda did as well.
Level 1 Day 2: Complete!
I was a little sore, and during the whole first circuit, I kept thinking, man this sucks! But as soon as I got through circuit 2, I was like, Hell yeah! almost over!
The feeling is my muscles is amazing! I love feeling like I'm actually getting something done...I especially like the soreness in my inner thighs haha.
Target, $9. It was online for $15, so I thought it was a good deal. I woke up this morning with sore muscles, mostly those armpit muscles (lol) and my abs. Couldn't roll over last night without groaning!
Just finished Day 2. My movements were a bit smaller, but overall today was MUCH better than yesterday. Woooo!

whoohoo!
YAY! I'm so glad today was better for you. I'm not sure what it is with those armpit muscles, and when I will ever use them, but at least something is being worked lol.

Level 1 Day 3: Complete!
It was a lot easier to get into "workout mode" after work today than I thought it would be.
I still really don't like circuit 1.

THIS! Ugh she drives me nuts
I'm really starting to not like her haha.
"i could use some press flies" or whatever the hell they are called.
although, i really like some of the things she says at the end, even if they are cliche...it helps me push through and finish.
Ladies, I slacked off yesterday and tonight, but I have good reason. I had my annual last week and I told my doctor I've had some sharp pains in my lower abdomen, so I have an ultrasound tomorrow morning. The pains have gotten worse in the past week or so, so I don't want to push it until we know what's going on. It feels like it's probably a cyst, but I'm hoping it's something that can be taken care of easily.
You guys are doing great! I think tomorrow evening I'm going to go for a nice long walk after work. Every little bit helps, right?
My favorite line from the Shred is "I've got 400 pound people who can do jumping jacks, SO CAN YOU!"

Oh no! Cysts are no fun. Hope everything works out!

Shazzie I hope you start feeling better! I've never had a cyst but it doesn't sound pleasant

Level 1 Day 4: Check!
I did it last night at 8pm because I had a really busy day, and i have to say that I am so proud of myself because I don't think I've ever started a workout that late at night.
Its also starting to feel a lot easier, which I LOVE.
goodjob girls!
