Anyone know how I can talk to someone at the post office to track a package? I tried the 800# listed on the track and confirm page online, and of course, I can't get to a live person.
I placed an order with Anthropology on May 13 and still haven't gotten the package. When I track it, it just says it shipment picked up in Jersey on May 14. Anthro won't do anything for me until tomorrow (which is two weeks after the pick-up). I ordered these items specifically to have for this weekend, so I'm kinda pissed; rightfully so, I'd say. Shipping cost me $8.95, and I placed the order with plenty of time for delivery for this weekend.
I swear this stuff only happens to me.
Re: Post Office Phone Number With A Live Person?
USPS has the worst tracking system, IMO. If I need something by a certain date, I almost always choose UPS or FedEx if that is an option, even if it costs more.
I don't know that you'll be able to get any more detailed tracking by talking to a real person, but maybe try calling your local post office. You should be able to find their number when you lood up locations.
I didn't have a choice with the shipping. I didnt even know it was sent by USPS until I received my order confirmation.
The number for my local post office won't route to a live person either. It's all automated. I tried not pushing any buttons to see if it'd default to a live person and it doesn't. I tried pressing 0 to get to the operator, and it doesn't work either.
I guess I'm screwed. Even if I find where it is, I won't get home til 5:00, and they will be closed. Pretty annoying. I should get my shipping refunded for this.
Try pressing *. Sometimes the star key will get you to a person these days. I've heard it's a new trick with automated systems.
I agree that your shipping should be refunded. I really don't think it is reasonable for something to take two weeks to arrive.
