Thirsty Thursday Randoms were such a success yesterday (most activity we've had in a while) that I didn't want to mess with a good thing.

went to the American Brew Trail taping last night at the BOB. The beer was OK but the service was TERRIBLE. We waited half an hour to get a waiter to stop at our table. For the next couple of hours we had to flag them down to get anything, and sometimes our drinks never came so we had to flag down another one. The manager served us a couple of times. He asked about our tab and we were like we have no idea, no one asked us for money yet. He ended up only charging us for our food and comped all our drinks but it was still a very frustrating experience. And, it wasn't even that busy.
Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, I need to finish putting in my garden.
I HATE bad service.
Ridiculous - I was expecting you to say that they were swamped. Makes it way worse that they weren't.

Good grief that is bad service. At least you got your drinks comped. :-) I've never been a huge fan of the BOB's beer, but it's been awhile since I've tried it.
I won't be on much since I don't work today - I've got some passport business to run around and take care of. :-)

Speaking of good beer...We went to Uccello's last weekend and I had the coldest beer ever. It was awesome. Usually when I get a beer on tap somewhere else, it's cold, but not that crisp frosty cold. I would go back to Uccello's based on their beer temperature. I'm a weirdo.

We have had two bad experiences and both were before I met DH. Ex bf and I went to Olive Garden once and were ignored for 30 minutes = free meals. Then we went to Perkins one time and they never waited on us so we left and they got all mad. Not our problem.
On the other hand, TGIF. Mike's van is ok. It's the radiator hose that has a hole in it under the car. He has been putting in water and fluid so it doesn't over heat until he can get it fixed in the next week or so. He just drives to wk and all that. Thank god no new car right now.
What is everyone's weekend plans?
Maybe there is some sort of bad server vibe in downtown b/c I too add a bad experience, but at San Chez. hmm
My SIL came over last night so DH could help her with a school project. What a nice big brother. aaww
Last day of school for SS, so summer can officially start. I have no idea what we will be doing. It will be the first time that all 3 of us are home 24/7. Yikes!
Not sure what to do tomorrow, but Sunday is father's day. My Dad is easy and doesn't want anything. FIL is more difficult. We have to go see him other wise the whole facebook world will know what horrible kids he has. Drama, Yick.

Yesterday's random thread was too overwhelming for me lol. I got back from job stuff in the afternoon and couldn't believe how long it was
And yes, Fathers Day is the 20th. I'm still working on DH's gift and need that time!

I liked the old days of long randoms. I felt like we more of a community for some reason. I know random threads are sometimes hard to follow, but I feel like it promoted more conversation between us.
Agreed. I know it's harder to follow and I'm sure I wouldn't love it if I didn't have so much free time at work to keep up. But I loved them and miss them.

I don't have much to say today. I'm feeling rather grumpy and frustrated today. That's pretty typical of Fridays lately. It's like I work the absolute maximum number of hours I can without going "postal."
This weekend we're headed to Indy to see the two older nephews. I'm looking forward to that.
Man I totally know how you feel. Being busy both at work and home makes for a very unhappy Me. I feel like I never get a chance to rest and unwind. My brain is fried.
How is the remodel going?
We have the shower finished which is awesome. I even took a bath in my soaking tub and it was so nice. There's still a lot of work to do, but it should go a lot faster now that we have the biggest job done.

He is still hot to this day. Remember Joey from NKOTB? I don't think he is that cute anymore but his kids are adorable. I think their baby is deaf - saw an amazing article about that not too long ago.
For real, I am the potty mouth queen.

Hi, ladies! I'm finally able to pop into the randoms now that I'm on my lunch break. I've been busy this morning.
I wanted to thank you for the help you offered me yesterday with my vacation planning. I think it really helped me to be able to talk everything out.
