So what did everyone think?
I think they made the right choice sending Jerrell home. I was disappointed with Korto's wedding dress. Usually she is fairly meticulous in her sewing and for some reason it did not seem like the sleeves were symmetrical, and I do think it was just too much going on, or as the judges say "overworked".
I was very impressed with Leann's wedding dress and bm dress.
I still can't stand Kenley.

Leanne's dresses were gorgeous--I was so impressed, because none of her other designs were that fabulous this season.
Korto's wedding and bridesmaid dresses were just eh, and actually worse than Jerell's--but at first glance it looks like her entire collection is better than his, and I think that's why they booted him.
I loved the part when Tim got choked up. He's so awesome.
I agree. Leanne's dress was good, Jerell's and Korto's not so much. I can't be objective with Kenley's stuff. Her attitude colors everything she does for me.
I wondered why Kenley didn't take Tim to meet family and/or friends, too. (May I add, Jerell's sister is gorgeous!) I love the way the Tim check-in show always seems like a whose childhood was worse contest.
I agree. Leann's stuff was great. Even Kenley's was good, which is hard to admit b/c I can't stand her.
I like Jerell but his dress was a mess. Korto's too.
Did the previews show a Kenley vs Tim meltdown next week? I'm really tired and I can't remember if I made that up or if it really happened.
I think they made the right choice too, esp. based on what I had seen of their lines. I hate Kenley and have really not like much of her stuff, but what I saw of her line was actually really well done.
I wanted Korto to be in SOOO bad, I really really like her and I thought that her line looked fab. I didnt like her wedding dress at all, but I didnt think that the bridesmaid dress was as bad as they made it out to be at all.
I must be the weird one here becuase I really didnt like Leanne's wedding dress. The amount of "waves" were a little much for me. It was certainly constructed well, but just not my thing I guess. Loved the bridesmaid dress.
I really like Jarell, so I am sad that he is not going to be around anymore. I think it is so sad when they send people home to create a line and they work for weeks on it, then get sent home. Makes me teary eyed. I think Jarell took it better than I did LOL

I feel asleep for the runway show but woke up for judging.
I think Leann and Kenley were clearly the top two, and I'm very excited about both of their lines.
What was the name of the designer who made a wedding dress that Kenley's was similar to? I want to look it up online but I forget who it was.
IMO they made the right call, and I figured it would be jerrell from last weeks previews... the other stuff they showed was IMO overworked and fugly too. Those dresses were both hideous.
IMO Korto's were awful too. I hated them both!
I loved Leanne and Kenleys, though - both of them, both dresses. Gorgeous.
Kenley is annoying but I just love her work so I look past it I think
And dont feel bad for Jarrell - booted or not, all of them are showing (showed? I guess) at fashion week so the only thing is he wont be on TV and cant win the prize... im sure that is why he didnt seem so upset.

Yes, the head thing is similar. During judging she acted like she had never seen the McQueen dress, but after seeing the two of them together I'm doubting the truthfulness of that statement.

I mean, I get that you're going to repeat things sometimes, but that is a bit much. The neckline is even the same.

One side of me thinks there's no way she didn't copy b/c it's way too similar.
The other side thinks why on earth would you copy a designer dress when you know it will be judged by designers and televised. She had to know she'd be exposed. Unless she's that crazy.
I mean it is almost IDENTICAL. Down to the head peice and the shoes.
I think she might not realize that people remember pieces from runway shows. In my buying class, my teacher will reference a dress in a collection from 3 seasons ago and at least 4 or 5 of my classmates are nodding along. Maybe they're just posers, but I think they actually know which one he's referring to. These are fashion addicts, and they know. So Michael Kors, who has to know what his competition is doing, will certainly know. It's his business, after all.
I loved Leanne dresses last night! In fact, I love Leanne. She's like a little Cat Power/Feist waify artist girl. Adorable.
Both Korto and Jerell's designs were bad. But Korto's collection looked awesome so I am glad she is staying around. Kenley is just a trainwreck. That dress is way too similiar to Alexander McQueen's for it not to have "influenced" her design.

I agree Marquis & Dev. There's NO WAY she came up with an identical outfit on her own.
I was thinking, maybe she saw it on a tv or something subconsciously and then made it later without realizing it. But then I saw the shoes. There's no way!
I thought it was a pretty boring episode.
- I thought Jerrell's dress looked like Carrie's in SATC the movie, right down to the obnoxious head piece. Loved his BM dress, though.
- I didn't like Kenley's BM dress and I didn't really like her wedding dress, but as an art piece it was beautiful. I hate to say this, but I think Kenely finally proved herself as a true designer last night. She showed she can do more than 50's housewife couture.
- I loved Leann's dresses and her color palate.
- Korto's dresses were very bad...which really surprised me b/c as a complete designer, I think Korto is probably the best of the bunch. I loved the colors she is using in her larger collection.

I'm thrilled with the finale. I think they are all super talented.
Yeah, Kenley's attitude sucks, but her stuff is just beautiful, IMO. Also, having been in a situtation where I felt "ganged up on" by a group of people (which was somewhat deserved, but come on, who doesn't get more defensive when everyone is calling you out?), I wasn't surprised by her form of apology. I'd rather turn away as I said it, too, so that if the reaction wasn't "it's cool, we'll just move on," I could at least hide my embarrassment and hurt.
I cannot wait to see the full collections. I cheated last year and looked online, and it kind of took away from the finale for me. This year, I'm waiting for the show.

Ah, yeah, I saw that one and the red one and thought the red one was more similar. It was kind of like a combination of the two with her own twist. Okay, she's forgiven now. Good catch, Kate
