I was 26 the first time. I was with my boss, from a different job, at an after new year's eve party. We had to work new years eve at the casino.
Sweet. I thought I was in the minority.
I would be tempted to just throw the match so I wouldn't have to play anymore. That is crazy.
I totally would do that.
I was in an 80 person poker tournament that went on for like 10 hours. I was so mentally exhausted I went all-in on crap just to get it over with. 2nd place is cool.
I can't imagine the physical exhaustion from that match.
And I suppose that's why I'm not a world-class competitor at anything. 10 hrs of tennis just sounds all kinds of miserable. 10 hrs without eating sounds miserable, let alone while burning mad calories in a tennis match. I'm with Juli, how are these guys even vertical still?
On the interview with the Today Show this morning, the American said that he only slept 6 hours and was going to only practice today for about 30 minutes when he usually practices 3 hours before a tournament. They are insane.
I have never smoked anything before.
Currently listening to my radio show reading a masseuse's story about Al Gore coming on to her (where she tries to fend him off). It is frickin' gross.
Really want a frappuccino. Have been sick for 1.5 days and have only been eating bread. My stomach probably can't handle it. I need some caffeine though.

My softball game got called in the 6th inning. It was an awesome game because we were well matched up with the other team. I had seen lightning since the 2nd inning, but the umps didn't catch it until the play where the other team tied up the game.
It was the last game of our season, ended in a tie with a team that we are tied with in the rankings. It will be interesting to see how they handle that!
We went to an all inclusive in September that was not adults only. It was at the end of a Mexican holiday, so there were a few Mexican kids. Also there were some European families with kids. The worst were the European teenagers who were poor sports and really bratty. But they weren't any more/less annoying than a stuck up adult would be. There was an adult only area, but we didn't hang out there. The kids really weren't that bothersome. I would go to a non-adults only AI again.
I figure that we're looking to sit on the beach, enjoy the ocean and drink, so as long as we find a somewhat quiet spot we should be ok. And as long as I always have a drink or 2 in me, I might not even care. Haha. We're looking at going Sept 13.
Now I want to go to Mexico.
It will probably have to wait until February/March next year, though.
We have get togethers with friends scheduled for July, a cruise in August, a long weekend in Chicago in September, a long weekend in Myrtle Beach in October, and a week in Florida (Orlando and Miami) in December.
There is no room, money or vacation time for another trip in 2010.

He's huge. It's really hard for me to grasp how huge he is. So chunky. I love his little chunky legs.
He's becoming a little person. He reaches for things. He focuses on things and seems fairly interested in them. Its cool watching him learn.
How close is he to sitting up on his own???
Pretty close. I think he can do it, but the only time I've tried was when he was in my lap. I haven't tried it on the floor yet.
I'm hoping he can do it by July 12th!
If you don't mind sharing, how much vacation time do you and L actually get at your jobs? It seems like a ton...unless one or both of you are just taking some of those trips as unpaid (which is what I have to do).
Wop - Cozumel is lovely - I stayed in Playa del Carmen when I visited long ago (15 years ago?) but we took a day trip to Cozumel and it was gorgeous. If you go to the main land too the ruins of Chichinitza (sp?) aren't too far and defintely worth the drive.
11 hours and 5 minutes over the course of 3 days - Isner is victorious with a final score of 70-68 in the fifth set. I don't think that record will be broken ever.

Anyone else bored this afternoon? Well heard from repair shop, it's either head gasket or broken head. It's getting fixed either way.
We just lost power at work. Why can't this ever happen at like 9 in the morning?
We each only get about 2-2.5 weeks. We do a lot of things like taking trips over holiday weekends or leaving late in the day on a Friday and coming home on a Sunday. We've just gotten pretty good at working with what we have.

And I just bought tix for DH and I to go see Eclipse next week for our first date night since LO was born
